Mitchell Bruce Polay

I normally don’t write reviews, but for what criminal defense Attorney from Fort Lauderdale, Mitchell Polay did for me and my family, while representing my teenage son, I feel like I want everyone to know what an amazing job he has done and how blessed I was for having him represent my son. After mul...tiple attorneys told me that my son was going to face a mandatory prison sentence adding up to many years, and there was no way around, I finally spoke with Mitchell. Mitchell never made us any promises, except for one, he promised he would fight for my son as if he were his own and do the best job he can. He 100% fulfilled that promise, he kept my son out of prison, and made what was basically told to me to be impossible, possible. Through the whole process, I never felt as though I was a client, I felt as though I was a family member, whenever I needed to speak to him, whenever I had a question, he was there every step of the way. If he was busy, he got right back to me. To this day he checks on my son just to see how he’s doing and that means a lot.

Everyone makes mistakes. And Mr. Polay can fix anything! Hire the best the first time around or you will regret it later. I was looking at 5 years probation and i was free in 2 years. He responds to phone calls and texts rite away. And is very understanding. He handles himself professionally around j...udges and is always prepared the day of.

I came across Mitch through a family friend after my lawyer at the time had mishandled my battery and misdemeanor cases and wasn’t going to deliver me reasonable results. After I hired Mitch he went above and beyond and got me off some multiple batteries are with just a simple probation even though I... have many priors. Mitch has handled one other battery case for me in which he also got me off with just a simple probation. I wouldn’t trust anybody else with to handle my life. He always calls and keeps me updated on my case. He Has gone above and beyond to help me and I’m truly thankful. His office is conviently right across the street from the Fort Lauderdale court house, hes always on time, and on top of that he has many connections with lawyers, judges, and prosecutors in the south Florida area from being in the field for so many years. Mitch has helped me tremendously and I’m truly thankful you can’t go wrong with hiring him.

Mitchell Polay has not returned any of my calls, emails, letters, or texts in over two years. He was hired and has taken the money upfront and has not worked on my case. I'm not sure what my next steps without reporting him to the bar. I want him to understand that you can't make promises or guarante...es. I'm better off representing myself. I wish I would have seen these reviews first.

Let me say that at first he was very polite and sounded sincere in helping my case. As time passed he became very distant to my phone calls emails and texts.did not inform me of hearings.and would.be agitated when.I did finally get him on the phone. Asked for more money and still has not helped my si...tuation. And now I am in deeper problems then.I was before I hired.him. do not hire this lawer.
