Not recommended due to persistent communication and case-management deficiencies.

I would not retain this firm again and would advise prospective clients to carefully evaluate their expectations regarding communication, responsiveness, and client support. From the outset, there were avoidable issues. During the initial intake process, I was disconnected/hung up on, and a schedu...led intake meeting was later missed without prior notice, follow-up, or explanation. These issues were not addressed proactively and set the tone for the remainder of the representation. Throughout the case, routine and reasonable questions frequently required multiple follow-ups over extended periods to receive a response, if a response was received at all. Phone calls routinely went unanswered and were not returned. Written messages were read without reply. When responses were provided, they were often brief, dismissive, or argumentative rather than explanatory. Early in the process, I was provided information regarding my rights that later proved to be inaccurate. When clarification was requested, the response was argumentative rather than corrective. Escalation to the attorney did not resolve these concerns. The interaction felt rushed and did not provide meaningful guidance, leaving important questions unanswered. There were also delays in handling reaffirmation-related matters, which required additional follow-up on my part to ensure the issue was addressed at all. These delays contributed to unnecessary uncertainty late in the process and reinforced the broader pattern of reactive rather than proactive case management. Additionally, motions were filed in my case without any notice or explanation to me. The only way I became aware of these filings was by independently monitoring the docket through PACER. Clients should not have to discover court activity in their own case through self-monitoring to stay informed. Communication appeared inconsistent and uneven. Billing-related matters were addressed promptly, while substantive case-related questions, filings, and procedural concerns often were not. As a result, I was left to independently determine and confirm basic procedural timelines and expectations that should reasonably have been explained during representation. Despite repeated attempts to engage, communication did not improve. The cumulative effect of missed appointments, delayed responses, lack of notice regarding filings, reaffirmation delays, and dismissive interactions significantly increased the stress of an already difficult legal process. While the legal outcome itself may be routine, the experience reflected systemic deficiencies in communication, professionalism, and client management. Clients who value timely updates, accurate guidance, and transparent communication may wish to consider other firms before retaining this one.

Amazing people

Brooks is absolutely unbelievable! His staff, beginning with Jessica is a five-star all-star cast! It took me 6 months to decide if I should file, and I should have listened to him the first day! My entire life has changed thanks to this group of amazing people! There is absolutely nobody else that I... would go to to file a BK! Do yourself a favor and they will put your life back in the tracks!

Exceptional service

I had a wonderful experience working with BKLGP during my bankruptcy case. From the initial consultation to the final resolution, they were professional, understanding, and very thorough. They made a difficult situation much easier to navigate and provided clear guidance every step of the way. Thanks... to their expertise, I was able to regain financial stability. I highly recommend them to anyone considering bankruptcy—truly a great team!

Fraud!

This is far the worse attorney I’ve have ever felt with when my business was having a hard time finding employees and we lost a lot of business because of it I reached out to him regarding bankruptcy he said it would be in my best interest to file chapter 13 for myself since I guaranteed some of the ...business loans. My personal credit and bills were fine. He said you can just add everything in the pot and do a 100 pay back plain. And not have to worry and he advised me to stop paying them. So I gave him the retainer of $2000 well after 2 days of thinking about this I did not want to ruin my credit so I texted and called his paralegal as well as him to cancel everything and refund my money then he called and persuaded me that this was the best option for financial freedom that I could have a chance of losing everything we own our house our cars everything well I believe him and said go ahead then well September 1 his paralegal called me at 11 PM I needed all cars of signatures while I was asleep. Woke me up out of my sleep. I’ll taking sleeping medicine to help me sleep that’s prescribed by my doctor. I went ahead and sign because I was not even in my right mind at the time the next morning when I realized what it happened I told him I didn’t wanna file right now, but I found it anyways, so then I had to get another attorney because they stop calling me and messed everything up. Stay far far away from this company. They’re nothing but a fraud.
