Biography
Ivan Parron, Esq. is the principal attorney and founder of PARRON LAW. He is the immediate past-chair of the Florida Bar's Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section , an appointed board member of the Miami-Dade County Film and Entertainment Advisory Board and an elected Grammy Governor of The Recording Academy. Mr. Parron has over twenty years of executive and legal experience in the television, music and entertainment industries.
Prior to founding Parron Law, Mr. Parron served as an in-house attorney for Universal Music Group in their offices in Miami Beach overseeing the region of U.S. Latin , Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Mr. Parron represented Universal in negotiations, and worked with top-selling artists, including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, U2, Enrique Iglesias, Juanes, Akon, Jim Jones, Paris Hilton, Nelly Furtado, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Wisin & Yandel. He also oversaw business and legal affairs for several of Universal’s joint ventures and was instrumental in negotiating and obtaining digital and mobile distribution rights from Universal artists.
Prior to Universal, Mr. Parron was founder and CEO of , one of the first legal music store websites making him commonly referred to as the inventor of the online music store as it was an early precursor to Apple's iTunes.
Mr. Parron is licensed to practice law in: Florida , New York, District of Columbia (Washington DC) , United States Supreme Court, United States District Court-Southern District of Florida, United States Bankruptcy Court and United States Tax Court.
