Prior to becoming an attorney, I owned and operated a thriving startup business in Miami. It was then that my interest in business led me to becoming a business lawyer, giving me the opportunity to develop relationships and get involved in as many businesses as I possibly can. My experience in the managerial, financial and operational aspects of the business, gives me a unique perspective that allows me to relate to my clients and better understand their businesses and their needs. In that way I can facilitate my clients’ legal needs as seamlessly as possible, so they can get back to what they do best; their business!   

My practice if focused on counseling and representing clients in corporate legal matters and business-related litigation.  As a business and corporate lawyer, I have vast experience working with many clients on business related transactions such as forming their companies, helping them raise capital, assisting clients in buying or selling businesses, creating joint ventures, franchising their business, licensing their products, providing advice on general employment matters, and other things that involve contracts and matters that happen outside the courtroom.  I strive to steer my clients along the “right” path (oftentimes a complex determination) when running their companies, and they rely on me to guide them through deals and transactions while protecting the company’s interests. In order to successfully accomplish that, I make sure to fully understand the inner-workings of the businesses I represent and my clients’ goals, so I know what strategies to implement.  For those clients that are growing and have an ongoing need for legal work, I offer various concierge legal monthly plans to work as the business’ of-counsel. 

Although my goal as a business lawyer is to keep my clients out of the courtroom, I am also prepared to represent them in the event a legal dispute arises.  Sometimes litigation is an effective and necessary mean to protecting clients' interests and rights. I am admitted to practice both in state and federal courts, and have represented numerous individuals and companies, small and large, as plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation matters.  My business litigation practice is focused on partnership disputes, breach of contract (in particular those related to the purchase and sale of goods, including internationally traded goods), breach of fiduciary duties, franchise disputes, commercial debts and collection, employment related matters, restrictive covenants and anti-competition lawsuits, fraud, and other business torts such as tortious interference with a business or contractual relationship.
