Biography
Hernando was first admitted to practice law in 2003. He completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University earning a B.A. in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude) and then attended the St. Thomas University School of Law, where he graduated with a Degree of Juris Doctor (Dean's List).
Hernando began his legal career working at a prominent defense law firm, representing various insurance companies, corporations and government entities. Because of the disadvantages for claimants in the legal system, he decided to help injury victims instead and began representing only claimants and plaintiffs in personal injury claims. He also represents claimants with insurance disputes against their insurance carriers. Currently, he devotes 100% of his practice to civil litigation, focusing on personal injury claims such as vehicular negligence, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, product liability, and workers’ compensation. Hernando and his legal team have secured several multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. He speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese.
