Leonard Alan Sands

When I contacted Mr. Sands in August of 2018, I was scared and hysterically crying, as I was not expecting a criminal investigation into something I was going through at work. He was in the middle of a meeting with another client, but took the time to calm me down and reassure me of a return call on...ce he was free. Mr. Sands called me back within an hour or so, and we talked at length about the circumstances around my situation. Throughout our conversation, he was so calm, full of information, insistent I stay positive, and asked that I call him Leonard. I can only strongly encourage anyone with a similar situation as mine to RUN and hire Lenny. Lenny KNOWS the law and how to assist with the most complicated situations. to what seems like, the most simple driving mishap of not stopping all the way at a stop sign to potentially ending up deported due ...to a once valid US drivers license being expired. Now there are no prior crimes or even a speeding ticket on the record I am referencing, however, this case of mine is much more complicated due to immigration status being in limbo due to moving to Florida from another state and time permitted to stay in the US running out. Technically, there is no "damaging crime" here yet the situation becomes "CRIMINAL" and ties up our courts. (And yes, there is current insurance on the car, as well as, it being registered and maintained so there is no damaging crime being committed here...just carelessness and the difficulty of renewing the licenses and status.) I do not know immigration law nor do I understand all the changes that are continually happening to those that have status running out, had legal status and are desperately trying to legally regain it or maintain it. I am an American born and raised with a legacy dating back to the 1700's in this country. When Lenny took our case he reviewed the immigration situation as well...yes, taxes were paid when working, a social security number was issued and a valid license had been issued that expired. It seems so un-American to deny and make a hard working person into a "CRIMINAL" for such an innocent violation. (and on the day the traffic ticket was issued it was perfectly clear outside and not another car in site...not that rolling a stop sign is legal... but my point is there was not a soul in site to put in harms way ... just a careless mistake... the 1st one made in 30 years might I add). We now have traffic school and are continuing our pursuit to be able to reissue a valid license. Thank you Lenny. Yesterdays verdict gives me hope "in the land of the free and the brave". May God continue to bless you and this magnificent country that has always welcomed and protected those seeking freedom and the American dream.
