Excellent, confident attorney who knows the Law
After going to three seperate attorneys for a consultation and being advised that they would not take my case (only my money), I checked Avvo to find an attorney who would be willing to take my case and see it all the way through. I had a somewhat complicated case due to my past history, and when ...

Worse experience -- do not recommend this attorney or law firm
I flew to Miami after booking an appointment with this attorney and alerting their office that I would have to be on a 3 hour flight to personally meet the attorney. I phoned to reconfirm and got on a flight to meet Steven A. Goldstein. On the day of the appointment, I received a call to change ...
Our firm sincerely apologizes for your experience. At Pozo Goldstein, LLP, we strive to provide excellent customer service. In this case, the day's schedule did not pan out the way we planned which necessitated an adjustment to our appointments for the day. As you can see by our other reviews on AVVO, we consistently receive positive reviews for the work on behalf of our clients. That said, it does not alleviate your concerns. I am willing to personally speak with you by telephone and, if appropriate, schedule an appointment for you either in our Miami or New York office. You can reach me at [email protected].

I'm sure they are other knowledgeable attorneys that would be willing to help
First and foremost, I do not work for any attorney or para-legal. Just like you I was looking for attorney than can help with my case. Well, it never got that far. The biggest problem with Mr. Goldstein is his office staff. Apparently they are continuously overbooked as my appointment was reschedu...
Note to the Reader: The person submitting this review called our office while he was already represented by another immigration attorney for an opinion as to whether the attorney was doing the right thing in his case. When I was told that his attorney was a former law partner of mine, I respectfully declined to offer my services as I felt doing so would be a conflict for various reasons that I will not cover here. I offered to refer this person to another competent attorney in the area so he could seek his second opinion and I refunded his consultation fee. I can understand, to some degree, his frustration because he researched and felt our firm was his best choice, but rating our firm "poor" in this situation is misplaced.
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Steven Goldstein on numerous cases as Co-Counsel as he is highly experienced and committed. He treats his clients with great dignity and integrity which is why I choose to work with him and his law firm."
"Mr. Goldstein's number one priority is to protect his clients' best interests and to provide highly knowledgeable, experienced and aggressive representation on their behalf. A highly recommended immigration lawyer."
"Mr Goldstein's answers on Avvo demonstrate a depth of knowledge of immigration law and a profound ability to analyze complex legal problems. I am happy to endorse him."
"Steven is a highly qualified and successful deportation defense attorney. His career is distinguished in what he has accomplished and how effective he is as an advocate. I highly recommend him and his firm for any immigration work."
"I have worked closely with Mr. Goldstein on a wide variety of immigration cases as his paralegal before I attended law school. Because of his professionalism, patience, and attentiveness to clients, he was a great mentor for me. I often assisted Mr. Goldstein with intake appointments, where he treated clients courteously, and candidly explained their options for proceeding. I believe that he has a sincere desire to help clients, and he has an extensive knowledge of immigration law which allows him to effectively guide clients through oftentimes daunting legal processes. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Goldstein."
"I endorse this lawyer's work. Great counsel. Experience both as a member of the private bar and as a prosecuter with ICE."
"Steve is a great friend and even better lawyer. I have referred countless cases to Steve where I need his expert advice in handling my non-citizen client's criminal cases. As a former prosecutor with Homeland Security, I have complete confidence that with him on board I am effectively and competently representing my client. I am on the phone with him at least 2-3 times a week either seeking his advice or referring him a client. I would recommend Steve without hesitation to attorneys, and clients who have criminal immigration issues."
