Ms. Velázquez received her Juris Doctorate from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law where she received several merit scholarships. She served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami State Attorney’s Office where she developed successful litigation skills and later went on to practice immigration law and insurance defense.
Ms. Velázquez received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where she studied Political Science and Spanish. She was in the Dean’s List and graduated with Honors after three years.
Ms. Velázquez is fluent in English and Spanish. She is admitted to practice in the Florida Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
