Gregory Fidel Betancourt

Just a horrible person. His first impression is excellent. He makes it seem like he's got your back 100%. That's until he gets your $5000 retainer. After that, goodluck trying to get a hold of him. He is very knowledgeable as far as the law, but does the bare minimum to continue to bill you. He will ...milk you and delay case as long as he can. Mr. Betancourt overbilled at least 20 hours. He denied at first, then ended refunding most of that money to avoid me filling a complaint with the bar. If you have used or if you are using him. Please check his billing. His wife does the billing. She is just as honest as he is. You'll probably find that they billed you an extra hour or two here and there. He's a scumbag. Just awful, greedy people.

Bentancourt was unreachable (all the time). I was able to reach him 2 dys prior to court and at that time he had not spoke to any witnesses or myself to prep for my case. I would have lost my case if he had not made an excuse to the judge and requested an extension. He lied to me on a few occasions r...egarding my case. He told me he sent efilings but never did. I paid double for subpoenas that were sent 2 dys before my court date (after telling me they had been sent almost 2 wks prior). He even charged me for work that he did not do (i.e. efilings, speaking to witnesses, etc). He charged me for times we did not speak. If i spoke to him on the phone for less than 10mins, he charged me for 30+ mins (i documented everything). I would NEVER recommend Bentancourt to anyone. Worst experience and waste of my money/time.
