Bentancourt was unreachable (all the time). I was able to reach him 2 dys prior to court and at that time he had not spoke to any witnesses or myself to prep for my case. I would have lost my case if he had not made an excuse to the judge and requested an extension. He lied to me on a few occasions r...egarding my case. He told me he sent efilings but never did. I paid double for subpoenas that were sent 2 dys before my court date (after telling me they had been sent almost 2 wks prior). He even charged me for work that he did not do (i.e. efilings, speaking to witnesses, etc). He charged me for times we did not speak. If i spoke to him on the phone for less than 10mins, he charged me for 30+ mins (i documented everything). I would NEVER recommend Bentancourt to anyone. Worst experience and waste of my money/time.

This attorney has not done ANYTHING he promised. Whether because he is incompetent or simply lazy, the result was the same and not in my favor. He failed to file paperwork and respond to motions in the court system. He has not delivered anything in a timely fashion... except for a bill! He came highl...y recommended and he talks a good game. His marketing skills are excellent, but his legal skills are seemingly non existent.
