On Thursday Aug. 18th I was served papers for a civil action summons in Martin County, FL. Needless to say, being sued is scary business! I am divorced, raising two sons, had lost my job, am on unemployment and job hunting to no avail, so I was greatly overwhelmed. The lawsuit was from Florida Credit Solutions, LLC vs. me. The lawyers representing them were Pollack & Rosen, P.A. and they were suing me for an old credit card debt from 2006. I immediately began research to see if I could fight this on my own. No way, the laws are convoluted and everything I looked up had a different opinion. Through my research, I was referred to employment/labor/debt collection attorney Mike Howard in Melbourne, FL. I called him and new right away I had done the right thing. He was kind, understanding, informative, comforting, and most importantly, not RUSHED (like his time was worth more than others). He asked great questions, gave me some very insightful information about debt collectors, and tried his best to calm me down. I worked with Mr. Howard for less than a month and in that time we spoke on the phone & via e-mail frequently and I NEVER waited to hear back from him about anything! He was prompt, knowledgeable and MOST IMPORTANTLY, passionate about what he does and helping others. He filed a most impressive written response for dismissal, etc. on Sept. 6 and informed me 3 DAYS LATER that the plaintiff dismissed the case against me! I never felt as though it was about his fees/money and he was very kind in working with me regarding payment. This was my first experience in this type situation and I knew in my heart and soul that I was in the very best hands. From his knowledge I learned what to do in the future to avoid the aggravation and hassle of debt collectors.......priceless. I hope that this avenue of review has expressed what a TERRIFIC lawyer Mr. Howard is as well as my heartfelt gratitude to him for 'saving' me.

I sue abusive debt collectors under applicable law including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I also represent select defendants who have been sued on a credit card account.
Plaintiff's attorney in Title VII cases including age, race, sex, gender; Florida Whistle Blower Act; Workers' Compensation Retaliation; Unemployment Appeals; Family and Medical Leave Act; Fair Labor Standards Act, and related.
I have a passion for suing abusive debt collectors. If you are abused by a debt collector, you may have a cause of action to sue them. You need not be subjected to debt collector abusive tactics. While many debt collectors follow the law, many do not. Call today to discuss your siutation.
While I have handled numerous federal and state appeals, I am prohibited from disclosing information on these cases due to confidentiality. I have written appellate briefs for Eleventh Circuit court cases, the Florida Supreme Court, Fifth District Court of Appeals and a lower court appeal. The case which went to the Florida Supreme Court was won.

Great results at low cost
Attorney Michael Howard stopped collection agencies from trying to collect a debt that we did not owe! When we satisfied one collection agency that the amount was not owed, they apparently sold the account to another collector, and the harrassment continued. Attorney Michael Howard educated us about debt collection law and gave us a cost-effective solution. His advice has saved us untold aggravation, and we recommend him enthusiastically and without reservation.
