Daniel Carl Pierron

I joined Widerman Malek in 2012 as an associate patent attorney and became a partner in January 2018. I practice in every aspect of patent preparation and prosecution, novelty and clearance searches and opinions, and patent litigation. I have technical experience in semiconductor devices, including LED-based lighting devices, biologically effective lighting, medical devices including catheter and hub design, stents, grafts, venous filters, drug-eluting devices, and OCT systems, software, mechanical devices, business methods, and telecommunication systems.

I have a passion for advising and assisting start-up technology companies in navigating the IP landscape and deciding on a strategy that makes sense for the company. I also assist in management of patent prosecution for a publicly-traded company with over 100 active patent applications.
