Robert Scott Hannan

I have been dealing with a child support/ custody battle for 10 years now. In 2008, I was granted custody of my daughter by the court. Somehow, my daughter's mother ran away to a foreign country, thus making it impossible for me to have a relationship with my child, although she was aware that my dau...ghter needed to be returned to me, her biological father. Meanwhile, she was still collecting child support until the court abated it. Although I followed the proper channels, filling all the necessary paperwork to have my daughter back, all my efforts were fruitless. In summer of 2015, I received an order from the child support office here in FL stating that they've received paperwork from the country where my child's mother has been hiding for 8 years now to collect child support on their behalf. After receiving that notice, saying that I was angry is an understatement. Robert Hannan was the only person that brought me back some type of peace. After our initial communication, he left me with these few words. He told me that: he can't promise me that the sun will rise tomorrow, and he can't promise that he will win, but the one thing he can promise me is that he will fight for me; not with me, but for me. After he said that, I immediately felt a sense of relief. Almost a year later in August 2016, Robert fought the state tooth and nail and won my case. And that's what I called a true product of success. Robert is not just a warrior, but a great warrior. A devoted lawyer who knows his craft, and masters it. Thank you Sir, once again.

He took on my case last minute, but that didn't stop him. He managed to get me a lifetime restraining order and has answered every one of my calls even in the middle of the night to help me through the restraining order, but also my custody case. He is the only lawyer to really listen to my concerns,... and has so much passion behind it he's not just all talk. He actually cares about his clients and will sit on the phone talking you through the emotion even when he's on vacation! I've retained him again for my custody case as I wouldn't trust anyone else and he's definitely one of the best if not the best. He really knows what he's talking about and puts his time into your case and prepping for it. Without him I'd be in a really scary situation right now in a whole lot more danger and I'd have lost my mind at this point. Thank you Mr.Hannan for being one of the rare breeds of lawyers left!

Mr. Hannan served as an attorney for some issues I had after my divorce, and some re-negotiations between my ex and I. Through the whole process, he was a human being and was understanding of the situation and personalities involved (including kids), something lacking in other lawyers I have had. ...He knew the law and what needed to be done. I never got the sense that I was being overbilled or overcharged, and in court and in person, he was always professional. Finally, and this is a big one for me, I was not left hanging when questions arose or I needed to discuss an issue. I understand that attorneys are busy (who isn't), but I greatly appreciated his willingness to listen, address, and come up with a plan for the numerous large (and small) issues that arise. He was also good to remind everyone to keep the big picture in mind - an important factor when kids are involved - they are the big picture. I would never recommend that anyone go through the hell of divorce. But if you do have to, you want Robert in your corner. I recommend him without hesitation.

I felt so confident having Robert Hannan as my divorce Attorney. I am only sorry that I did not have him for my Atty. in a previous divorce. Mr. Hannan handled my almost one-year-long divorce. Over that time, I have gotten to know his style of practicing quite well. I am content with the service he has provided and I recommend him to others seeking legal help. Because he is so experienced, he knows the law and knows how to handle diffi...cult situations. His communication style is direct and he does not sugar coat anything. He always responds to e-mails and telephone calls immediately. He maintains focused on resolving issues and does it as efficiently as possible. Unfortunately, most divorces are emotionally difficult. Having to navigate the legal system is an enormous additional stressor that can either make life more difficult or less difficult. Having Mr. Hannans extensive experience in family law made it easier for me to get through such a challenging time, and set the course for a more positive future. In response to any negative reviews about Mr. Hannan, it is clear that anybody having legal issues regarding family matters is going to be upset. I certainly was upset. Having to hire a lawyer and having an additional expense is the last thing any divorcing person wants to have. Additionally, everybody knows how screwed up the legal system is. I can see how easy it would be to blame a negative outcome on a lawyer instead of actually understanding that the Florida laws, policies and procedures are actually to blame. Mr. Hannan is excellent at what he does and I will be using him for any legal issues I may have in the future.
