Biography
Ms. Nicholson is currently practicing family law exclusively. She is a member of both the Virginia and the Florida Bar.
Ms. Nicholson is a Florida native who has lived in NC, VA, SC, OH and CA. Her undergraduate degree is from Clemson University where she majored in History with a minor in English. After graduating she enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve where she worked in Communications and eventually became a Sergeant. She taught middle school language arts and history and was a foster parent prior to attending law school.
Ms. Nicholson attended Charlotte School of Law and practiced criminal and traffic law in the mountains of SouthWest Virginia prior to moving Beachside in the summer of 2019. There she was in court representing clients facing felonies and misdemeanors four to five days a week.
Ms. Nicholson is a zealous, aggressive advocate. She is a skilled negotiator and is excellent at getting her clients the most favorable outcome possible given the circumstances. She is proactive with clients so that they know what to expect and excellent at explaining the process and likely outcomes to them. Ms. Nicholson can assist clients with cases involving Paternity, Divorce, Contempt for Non-payment of Child support or Alimony, Modification of Child Support or Alimony, Domestic Violence and Disestablishment of Paternity.
In addition to her legal experience, Ms. Nicholson brings significant life experience to the practice of family law. She is a mother of 4, has been divorced, been a single parent, adopted 2 children and is currently "covid" homeschooling a middle schooler. She understands the challenges that life can bring but also knows that with the right guidance and perseverance the future can be good.

Reckless Driving Representation

Charge was dismissed after the Client took a Driving Improvement Class
Reduced to Improper Driving $450 fine. This prevented client from having a criminal misdemeanor on his record.
The Assault and Batteries were dismissed, the Malicious Wounding was reduced to a misdemeanor and based upon an agreement he plead guilty to the Robbery for a sentence of 3.5 years.
Charge was reduced to Improper Driving, a driving infraction that did not harm his immigration status.
