Kenneth Erwin Rhoden

After retaining Mr. Rhoden as my attorney, being convicted and reading reviews, I have gathered that if you are looking for criminal defense you may want to look somewhere else. I lived out of state when incarcerated for a DWI in Brevard County, however I I still received mail from Mr. Rhoden promot...ing his services. I regret my choice in legal counsel and believe that more could have been done to fight my case. I was not advised a defense strategy nor provided with options. I feel that that my case was just an easy payday.

Ken is an excellent attorney IMHO. He is fair with fees and takes payment plans. He did in my case expect to have a retainer in place prior to beginning trial preparation. But after having my case with him for a year (divorce takes a long time in this county) I had made all my payments and had all... the retainer needed in place. No extra communications to him meant when he needed something his staff would email me and that equalled less of the lawyers time. And a great thing is too that the firm does not bill you for the time spent by the paralegals so if you call and get your information from them - you don't bother Ken or other lawyers and you don't have your retainer used. I don't get other people who say he's out for money - he isn't one of those lawyers that won't even talk to you on the phone without a payment. He consulted with me in person for almost an hour and did not charge me. When I came back to hire him it was quick and we got down to business preparing documents. I felt well represented and even though we didn't have many issues (with my ex wife) we did go to trial and Ken was prepared with his notes and cases and did a great job for me. I'm happy with the result and so far everything is much smoother with the kids and ex wife. He does a super job and I absolutely recommend him for anything you have in family law legal problems!

My son needed help with criminal charges. Ken was not the most expensive, not the fancy office, not a few other things that I don't need a lawyer for. He was experienced, super knowledgeable, willing to work in my budget, and his staff was nice and helped my son through the long long process our co...urts use these days.

This lawyer was the worst for me. He was hired to protect my child from our abuser. His plan was to "stall" and that the judge only had 45 minutes for our case. Rhoden had my witnesses wait for over 7 hours and he never filed the proper motions to have them heard. I fired him and told him to do no m...ore work on my case without my permission and he still signed papers in my name after he was told not to do so. He then charged me for those services. I think it"s grossly unethical.
