Mr. Gunthert was one of the attorneys that answered my question on Avvo. I liked his response and contacted him for a consultation. and asked for his representation. He went above and beyond what was required to make sure my Florida Probates'; i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed, which is very... important in Florida. Mr. Gunthert took the time to thoroughly explain all my options. Then he asked the pertinent questions he needed answered to provide what he considered would be the best option for my situation. With a thorough explanation on why he felt that way, I was very confident in his suggestion. The truth is, while Mr. Gunthert’s suggestion was great for my situation, it was not the best option for his bottom line. But I don’t think that mattered. It seemed Mr. Gunthert was more concerned with my welfare than his own. I am not saying Mr. Gunthert works for free, he would go out of business. What I contend is that he will always; always; suggest what is in the best interest of his client. That is how all businesses should be. But this is so rare nowadays, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the services I received from Phillip William Gunthert, Esq.

I live in another state and needed the advice of a Florida attorney based on advice from attorneys in my state. I was a bit skeptical of searching the internet to find someone who would give a consultation as there are several complexities to my particular situation. The matter was in regards to a Re...vocable Trust with the only trustee now incapacitated mentally due to Alzheimer’s and in regards to Durable POA with both documents executed under Florida law. The situation involves those who plan on physically taking this 90 year old to the bank, having her remove a large sum of money, through manipulation, knowing full well she has Alzheimer’s and cannot make sound decisions. The situation has many facets but Mr Gunthert spent close attention to all details, asked necessary questions and spent significant time giving his knowledge of the law based on the information I provided. Our conversation took a lot of weight and stress off of me! He asked for nothing! I have now decided to hire him. I have confidence in his capabilities and ethics.

I posted a question to the AVVO board and Mr. Gunthert was one of three responses. While the other responses are appreciated, they were very generic and ultimately recommended the services of an attorney, Mr. Gunthert's response was detailed enough and worded in a way that recognized that this didn't... appear to be a complex issue and was calling more for a verification of a solution already being presented by myself. He provided sound advice for a question that probably took him 3 seconds to process and didn't try to push me toward hiring him. I appreciated that.
