On September 23rd of 2020 I was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident. A car was not paying attention while crossing the road and ran into me. I had the right of way. This caused me to be thrown off of my bike breaking my femur and shattering my right knee a result. I passed out shortly after an...d woke up in the ER. Little did I know that while I was in surgery at the ER, I was ticketed for “careless driving”, the police said I was weaving in and out of traffic. Two surgeries and hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills later, I now sit here today with 0 bills to pay and enough money from the case for me to take care of myself thanks to Attorney Bao Than whom I met from my Motorcycle riding group.Not only that, but my bogus traffic ticket was also dismissed. At the time of the accident, I did not have any insurance available to pay for the medical bills and due to the other party contesting liability, I didn’t have much hope that anyone would take my case but Attorney Bao Than didn’t hesitate to take on my case, even with no insurance and a giant six figures in medical bills. He helped me obtain a recovery by successfully arguing for liability and spent months negotiating my medical bills down to a point where I even got back something for myself. It has been a long road to recovery and was a very terrifying time for me because as an international student here, I don’t have any family or relatives supporting me or working to resolve the case. After moving out to orlando, my buddy and i decided to go out for a ride. While coming back home from his place, a guy pulled out of an apartment complex across 3 lanes of traffic. I moved over trying to avoid him while hitting my brakes but it just wasn’t enough. I slammed into the back of him at ab...out 45mph and flew off the bike and slid across the pavement. All I remember was a searing pain going through my body. Me being the dummy that i am, i wasn’t wearing any gear except for my helmet. I blacked out when i hit the ground and woke up looking at the sky while i was in the far lane of alafaya trail during rush hour. I got up really quick not really comprehending what happened. I looked over and saw my bike up under this guys car. I was in shock and didn’t feel any pain until 10 minutes later when i sat down on the grass. The police came and went along with fire and rescue. But now i had to wait 4 HOURS while covered in blood and in pain for FHP to come. They let the guy go without any repercussion or tickets and said that i was at fault for this accident even though you can clearly see that i was not. I tried to see if i could fight it in court but no one could give me a solid answer on where to go to fight it. So i couldn’t and with that being said, there was a whole lot of legal issues that went along with this. Months and months went by with State Farm trying to get $4k out of me. I contacted ThanLaw and he ended up taking on my case after months had gone by with no one wanting to take it. But, he decided to take a risk and help me out which was amazing! After about a month of Attorney Than pushing State Farm and not giving up, he ended up getting some compensation out of them but decided that that wasn’t enough and pushed more and got even more out of them which was insane!
