Mr. Rogers, an attorney and accountant by profession, designs estate/asset protection plans and provides probate and trust administration. He founded Sweetwater Law Offices, PLC, an estate, asset protection and charitable planning law firm, in Longwood (Orlando), Florida in 1981, Wealth Strategies Collaborative, Inc., a collegial group of attorneys nationwide, who collectively combine their expertise designing asset protection and wealth preservation plans in 2000, and Cornerstone Advisory Consulting, LLC, which provides Advisory Services offered through CSSC Investment Advisory Services, Inc., a Registered Investment Adviser Securities offered through CSSC Brokerage Services, Inc., Member FINRA and SIPC.
BACKGROUND: Thom Rogers is a tax attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Rogers designs asset protection / estate plans and preserves wealth through estate, income and charitable tax planning. Mr. Rogers received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and his J.D. from Ohio Northern University. Mr. Rogers attended Ohio Northern on scholarship and received the highest distinction as a Getty Scholar.
EXPERIENCE: Mr. Rogers' areas of professional concentration are asset protection, wealth preservation, estate planning, trusts, probate administration, business, charitable and tax planning.
He has been a lecturer and instructor on asset protection, estate and charitable planning for attorneys, accountants, financial planners, stock brokers, insurance agents, the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, the Wealth Strategies Institute, WealthCounsel, LLC, the Florida Forum, the Mid-South Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys and the public.
Prior to practicing law, Thom practiced in the tax departments of international, regional and local accounting firms.
PERSONAL: Married to Krista, a practicing estate planning attorney who works with Thom; daughter, Amanda, a videographer in Edinburgh, Scotland; golden retrievers, Sophie and Sadie.
