My Case

I paid a dentist about 10k to have a root canal and crown. After the root canal was done, i came back for the crown but my teeth were too bad that i cannot have the crown put in anymore. After that, I changed my dentist due to several reasons and asked them if i could have a copy of the procedures t...hat was done to me with its cost so that i can see how much balance i have left since i paid the dentist the full amount and she was not able to finish it but they would not communicate with me anymore, so i hired a lawyer. She send them a demand letter but still no reply, I was told that my next option would be to file a lawsuit and i did, after the dentist was served, she hired a lawyer and gave my lawyer the copy of my record which now shows that i exactly has 0 balance remaining and since my teeth got too bad because i did not come back for my follow up appointment on time that it was still my responsibility to pay for the crown even if it was not put on my teeth nor it was given to me, my lawyer agreed to that. After that, my lawyer said that now we need a witness to testify about this and that... I felt helpless after hearing that so decided to drop the case the day before pre-trial. It is frustrating because if i was given my record when i asked for it, i would not hire a lawyer anymore and also if i was just informed by my lawyer that i am responsible for the payment of the crown even if i don't have it because it was my fault my teeth went bad for not going to follow up appointment on time then i would have accepted it and not spent more money in legal fees. So the result of my case was retainer fee almost 3K, after dropping the case remaining balance was $0, Dental Fee paid almost 10K, refunded $ 0. I Guess HIPAA law is just a myth. This is what happened to my case, it is not detailed and some of it is just my opinion and i could be wrong.

Eviction

In an eviction, you do not know if your attorney did a good job till it's too late -- when you are standing there with the sheriff and the tenants. If the paperwork is done wrong, you may have to start over. Abigail was referred to me by the attorney who handles my closing. First and foremost, s...he is an excellent communicator. Before I hired her, she gave me a very clear picture of what she would do, what to expect and what it would cost. Throughout the eviction she gave me clear, timely, updates, by e-mail. The Sheriff's deputy told me that the paperwork was correct and I would have no ugly surprises from the tenants. Abigail made an unpleasant situation as stress-less and efficient as possible.

Will and trust

Abigail was referred to me through a friend. She prepared a will and a trust for me. She explained everything I needed to know and went over all options. She was always in contact thru e-mail or phone. Overall, a positive experience. Abigail is friendly ,knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with!
