also known as Benjamin Jones, Ben Jones
A Board-Certified “Expert” Trial Attorney, Benjamin Jones has tried over 100 jury trials (and countless evidentiary hearings) since his legal career began in 2006. Over the years, Mr. Jones has garnered the recognition of his peers and the respect of judges, earning him an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the “highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, reflecting the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary.”
At Snedaker Law, Mr. Jones draws upon his personal experience fighting insurance companies to effectively seek justice for Florida’s injured and accident victims, as well as the doctors’ offices that treat them. To this end, Mr. Jones has battled insurance companies his entire life. After being diagnosed with cancer while in law school, his medical insurance company cancelled his policy while he was still undergoing chemotherapy. Several years later, after a tornado destroyed his home, Mr. Jones had to fight a 3-years’-long battle with his property insurance company, so that he could rebuild, move back into his home, and move on with his life. Today, these unfortunate events afford Mr. Jones unique perspective that motivate and inform his strategies as he focuses his practice on personal injury and “PIP” litigation.
With experience litigating everything from traffic tickets to death penalty cases; employment disputes to auto-accident claims; civil forfeitures to Visual Artists Rights Act violations; pre-construction condominium deposit disputes to corporate compliance; Qui Tam actions and Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (“FDUTPA”) claims to municipal bond validations, Mr. Jones has the experience, knowledge, reputation, perspective and passion to give his clients the representation they deserve.
Mr. Jones is licensed to practice throughout the state of Florida and in the United States Middle District Court of Florida, where he has appeared as lead counsel in cases throughout these jurisdictions, including Miami-Dade, Broward, Collier, Lee, Hardee, Hillsborough, Polk, Osceola, Orange, Lake, Sumter, Marion, Volusia, Seminole, and Brevard counties. Mr. Jones has also been published in The Florida Defender magazine and regularly guest lecturers at “Public Defender College” for the 9th Judicial Circuit.
Ben grew up in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and attended Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia where he dual majored in Philosophy and Economics (with concentrations in Law and Business Policy Analysis). For law school, he graduated from the University of Miami with his Juris Doctorate. Currently, Mr. Jones lives in Orlando with his wonderful wife and 2 children. In his spare time, Mr. Jones enjoys rooting for UCF football, attending the theater, playing frisbee golf, and injuring himself in various adult recreational basketball leagues.

"I worked with Ben Jones for over four years and attorneys around will agree that he's the complete package. He possesses an outstanding reputation for his legal acumen with both clients and fellow attorneys alike. Ben Jones’ legal briefs and motions are well-research and highly persuasive. I’ve personally used a number of his motions as templates when drafting my own. Ben is not stuffy and aloof, but rather possesses a passion for his clients’ cases that can’t be taught in law school. No case is too big or too small for him to put his whole heart and acute mind into. Furthermore, his trial skills are literally legendary –the office halls reverberate with countless stories of Ben Jones’ victories. From careful jury selection to passionate closing argument, Ben Jones possesses the ability to win cases that only Ben Jones can win. You want this guy on your side!"
"Ben is a talented and knowledgable criminal defense attorney who will work his absolute hardest to get the best result for his clients."
"Ben Jones is a phenomenal attorney! I worked with Ben for many years, and I can personally attest to the skill and knowledge he has and the excellence in representation that he brings to every client's case. He has had many remarkable trial wins on cases involving violent crimes, and that's due to the time he puts into the preparation and the knowledge and experience he comes into each case with. Ben is also board certified in criminal trials, which makes him one of less than 400 attorneys in Florida who hold that distinction. I would not hesitate to hire Ben to represent me should a need arise, and neither should you."
"Ben is a brilliant attorney. He is well respected by his colleagues, judges, and clients. He is an expert in his field and has a proven track record both inside and outside of the courtroom."
"I worked with Mr Jones closely and can highly recommend him for both his breadth of knowledge and skills as a trial attorney. Mr. Jones is extremely knowledgeable of existing case law and stays up to date on new developments in the law. His skills as a trial litigator are impressive. Having tried a case with Mr. Jones, I can speak with first-hand knowledge of his skills in the court room. I would highly recommend Mr. Jones to anyone seeking representation on any matter."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ben is one of the best. Further, he embodies the rare quality that goes above and beyond for every client."
"Ben Jones is an incredible lawyer. He is board certified and has handled thousands of cases. I have talked to Ben on multiple occasions and I am always impressed with his knowledge and passion for the law. Highly Recommended."
"I endorse this lawyer. When I was a prosecutor I went against Ben on many cases. He was and still is exactly the kind of defense attorney that you want. He's always prepared, well respected and excellent in trial. He truly cares about his clients and believes in fighting for them as best as he can."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have been admiring Ben Jones's courtroom accomplishments since 2007. Since that time, he has proven himself to be an extraordinarily talented and capable criminal trial attorney. His excellent reputation in the courtroom is built upon the fact that he has successfully handled countless criminal cases, including winning many jury trials involving serious felony charges, such as murder, sex offenses, drug charges, aggravated battery... The Florida Bar certified Mr. Jones as a “Board Certified Expert in Criminal Trials,” in recognition of his professionalism, expertise, and accomplishments in the courtroom. I think so much of Ben Jones, that I asked him to join our law firm. I am pleased that Ben joined Longwell Lawyers in January 2016! Anyone who needs a smart, experienced, and skilled criminal trial lawyer would be wise to contact Ben Jones!"
