Theodore Washington Small Jr.

About me

Theodore W. Small Jr. ("Ted Small") has more than 19 years of legal experience.   As a small firm practitioner since 2004, Mr. Small has appeared as lead counsel for hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations in civil litigation matters, pending in state courts (Volusia, Marion and Seminole counties), federal court (Middle District of Florida) and before administrative agencies (EEOC and FCHR).  Before starting his own firm, Mr. Small was a partner at the large law firm of Holland & Knight LLP and practiced in its Tampa, Washington DC, and Orlando offices.  He represented individual and business clients of Holland & Knight, both plaintiffs and defendants, in a wide variety of matters such as contract and complex commercial disputes, real estate, appellate, employment, ERISA, construction, government contracts, legislative, local government, family and public interest matters.  Mr. Small eventually focused on representation of employers, including Marriott International, United Parcel Service and Harris Corporation, and was elevated in 2000 as a partner in Holland & Knight’s Labor and Employment Group.

I wholeheartedly and unequivocally endorse Ted Small. He is likeable and, most importantly, trustworthy. Ted is a brilliant Harvard-educated attorney but he is extremely down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I would recommend him especially for any business law, employment and labor law or estate planning issues that you have.
