Competent and Tenacious

Tracey has been my divorce attorney for the past four years. My divorce wasn't the "typical" divorce. My ex-wife has had her parental rights taken away completely on two occasions. She has made criminal allegations against me which were unfounded but compelled me to retain Tracey for these complai...nts as well. In a nut shell, it has been an uphill battle to make sure my children are safe and in the place they need to be. Tracey was there for me every step of the way. She always answers my call, emails me back and prepares for court in a timely and competent manner. I would highly recommend her especially if you want a tenacious fighter that won't back down to any other attorney. I am posting anonymously to protect my children.

Domestic Violence Victims RUN!!!!!

I was referred to Ms. Carlisle by a trusted colleague. I was very grateful for her having taken my case on a payment plan and having no experience in the legal area, that's what we hire attorneys for...to know and protect our rights. And in Family Law, more importantly, our children's rights. Upon ...initial case evaluation meeting, I told her I wanted sole custody of my son due to the history of his dads abuse which was escalating with each passing day. Ms. Carlisle informed me I had little to no chance of such and sole custody is awarded if sexual abuse occurs. Knowing what I know now, I would have ran then when she clearly had no intentions of representing our interests at all. It only got worse. Within the first month of the divorce proceedings, my husband was having me stalked at work, harassing me with hundreds of emails, texts, and calls, under constant threat so much I did make police reports. Once my husband physically threatened my life during an exchange, while holding our son at that, she directed me to file for an Injunction. While literally filing the injunction in the Court , apparently my home was being robbed (taking video evidence) and destroyed each room but our sons. The next day, Ms Carlisle filed a pile of motions pertaining to exclusion of residence and so on. I had learned from the responding officer to the burglary that since we were married and no order in court for home, my husband could break in and take whatever he wanted and they couldn't do anything. WONDERFUL! I was granted the temporary injunction only to have her advise me to "roll into the divorce decree" during mediation two days prior to the hearing on the final injunction to "save me a trip" since it's the same thing. DO NOT...I REPEAT ....DO NOT EVER "ROLL AN INJUNCTION INTO AN AGREEMENT". It carries no weight and to utilize defense, it costs $50 each time inform the court "hey...he tried to kill me again" and for the court to check back in on that a month later. Not safe. I recall Ms. Carlisle informing me her husband was a local officer so how is it she wasn't aware just how much danger she put our lives in. I do know she was hired by another colleague on an interstate custody cases expediently and efficiently though I do believe they had the ability to pay upfront which is fine with me. If a client's payment amount decides the effort of the attorney, the client should be notified of such. Example: For a payment of $100 a month, I can give you 1 hour of biased time where your concerns might be addressed, you do all the fact finding, and when you give me the evidence, don't expect me to use it for anything helpful.

Great experience

I hired Ms. Carlisle to handle my divorce case. I was very happy with the outcome. Her assistant, Allie, was wonderful. My questions were always answered and I got quick responses. She was honest about things and didn't make false promises like so many other attorneys. While it was not a pleasa...nt situation Ms. Carlisle helped me get through it. She listened and was understanding. I would recommend her to anyone.

Tracey was wonderful. She was straightforward and did not make any false promises. She kept her work on what I was entitled to and what was the likely outcome to my case. Her paralegal, Allie, was always helpful.
