Biography
Mike is a 1966 Graduate of Choctawhatchee High School. Upon graduation he was awarded a Navy ROTC Scholarship to the University of Oklahoma. Mike graduated from the University of Oklahoma in June 1970 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and was immediately commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy. Mike was first assigned to Naval Flight Officer Training at NAS Pensacola where he graduated #1 in his class. He then transferred to NAS Oceana, Virginia, where he served as a Naval Flight Officer in the A-6 "Intruder" as a Bombardier/Navigator with VA-176. He logged nearly 300 "traps" aboard Fleet Aircraft Carriers before being reassigned to NAS Pensacola, Florida, as an instructor with VT-86. Mike left the Navy after seven years of service and attended Law School at Florida State University. He graduated "with honors" from the FSU College of Law in December 1979. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in May 1980 and has been a Florida Bar Board Certified Marital and Family Law attorney for more than 30 years. Fewer than 300 attorneys in the entire State of Florida share that Family Law Florida Bar "Board Certification" rating. Mike is a Martindale Hubble "AV" Rated attorney which means that he has been rated by his peers as being "Preeminent" in the practice of Marital and Family Law with the highest possible rating for Ethical Standards. Mike has been practicing Marital and Family law from his offices in Shalimar, Florida, for more than 35 years. He has been married to his wife, Ronda, for more than 32 years and is the proud father of 3 sons. Mike has been very active in the community serving as a Sponsor, Coach, and Umpire with Shalimar Little League for decades. He now serves as the "Voice of Choctaw Football" announcing all JV and Varsity home football games. Mike's staff includes two legal assistants and an in-house degreed accountant who, as a team, are capable of handling even the most complex of family law cases.
