Matt Casey is a fantastic lawyer.

After ruling out several other lawyers for various reasons, I found Mr. Casey on Avvo. In our initial consultation, he spoke with me for 90 minutes, an extremely generous amount of time, and I hadn't even hired him yet. When I did hire him, his fee was very affordable for someone on my limited inco...me, and he even let me pay it in two parts. Although my case was very straightforward for an experienced attorney like Mr. Casey, he never tried to downplay its importance or make me feel that it was beneath him. He did a great job of always keeping me informed of his actions and what was required of me, and was always very quick to respond when I emailed him. On top of his professionalism, he was extremely personable and I legitimately enjoyed our meetings. While I hope to never need a criminal defense attorney again, it is comforting to know that Mr. Casey is ready and available should I ever need to call on him. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a criminal defense attorney.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Matt is an exceptional lawyer. He graduated in the top three of his class from F.S.U. law school. He has practiced as a prosecutor, instructed law enforcement in the course of his work, and been a defense attorney for many years. His ability to win over a jury are rare and to be admired. He litigates both administrative and criminal cases in a very agressive manner. He is an exceptional advocate that I recommend highly."

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
