Jennifer Michele Erlinger

I hired Jennifer to represent me via my company EAP after my husband assaulted me and I filed for a DV Protective Order. I then hired Jennifer to handle my divorce. Jennifer would never meet with me in person, and would often go months beyond a reasonable date to respond to complaints filed against... me in court e.g. Divorce complaint from my husband, and most recently a motion for contempt because I have not dismissed the restraining order. This caused me a huge amount of stress. My very abusive and dangerous husband violated the restraining order 3 times in 6 months, but proper steps were not taken at that time to extend the restraining order. She was often too busy - making me feel completely unimportant. Our first time in family court she was not prepared which resulted in my paying temporary alimony which I could not afford. We were able to reverse that position only after I obtained proof of the lies told in court that went uncontested. It was a hard slog with Jennifer all the way through, and often I feel I did not get good advice.

Jennifer started out quite strong. Than she slowed down. Apparently much to busy to keep in contact. It was to a point that I emailed several times over several weeks and had not heard from her. She had made a deal that was to stop my alimony payments until a final hearing in exchange for a very p...ivotal Motion hearing to be cancelled. She did not file for a final hearing for months. So I ended up having to pay alimony again. Now I am being told that I will have to pay those 3 months of alimony back! I gained nothing and threw away a very important part of my case. She also missed a Discovery Request. Not by a few days or weeks but by months! Run!

Jennifer is exceptional at making the task at hand look easy. She listens to and addresses your concerns, and takes the time to relate to you as if you are the only case she is handling at that moment (trust me, she's a busy woman). She will tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly about your case ...whether you want to hear it or not; she keeps it real. She's the first attorney my husband and I called when starting our case and just by how she addressed our questions and listened to the dynamics of everything that had occurred up to the point of us calling her, we knew immediately she was the one to get our case resolved. And let me tell you, we are still mind blown how the first part of our case ended. She exceeded our expectations. And let's not forget her amazing legal assistant, Michelle, who did an amazing job at getting things coordinated between us and Jennifer. These two are an amazing team. Jennifer and Michelle, thank you for all you have done for our family; you rock!!!!

I had a really good experience with Jennifer Erlinger for my divorce. She quickly answered all of my questions right at the outset and helped craft a parenting plan and final settlement that protected all of my interests. She was able to complete a complicated divorce with kids and multiple propertie...s and other assets from start in finish in less than seven months. The billing was straight-forward, with no surprises. The entire process was completed for the cost of the initial retainer. She didn’t let my former spouse or their lawyer take advantage of me in any way. She fought for my interests and got me pretty much everything I wanted. I definitely recommend her!
