My divorce has been final for almost two and a half years now. However I still had an outstanding QDRO that needed to be completed. Also my ex-wife has continued to be verbally abusive to me and my Fiance. I met with Madelyn and right of the bat we had an instant connection. She is not scared to pick... up the phone and speak on my behalf to the exwifes attorney to try to rectify the verbal /written abuse as well as the QDRO. Madelyn likes to keep it simple and rectify the issue promptly and without spending unnecessary time and processes. Madelyn Pittman represented me in a custody/relocation case that lasted almost a year. During the entire case, I felt Madelyn lacked confidence in her ability to do her job effectively. I often times became discourage with winning my case due to Madelyn's negative view of what the outcome would be. ...I constantly had to keep her on track and remind her to remain positive regardless of how she felt this particular judge would rule. Upon hiring Madelyn, she was very energetic and optimistic about how she could help me win my case, but as time went on her actions and words showed differently. Madelyn struggled with communicating effectively. There were countless times that I had to call or reach out to her regarding information on my case. Madelyn would wait to the last minute to respond or request information she needed to better my case. I did everything she asked me to do by going to deposition, hiring and paying for a social investigator twice, as well as making an unexpected $10,000 payment to go to trial. Furthermore, I felt like Madelyn did not do everything in her power in representing me as my attorney. At the end of the case I walked away feeling defeated, unprepared, and confused on whose side she was on; and who paid whom. With that being said, Madelyn took my money and left me feeling like a pro bono case. Madelyn needs more experience as well as training on how to remove her personal bias and feelings before trying to represent anyone else on a custody/relocation case. I would not recommend her to anyone due to her lack of experience and unprofessionalism.
