Biography
Jeff has been in private practice since graduating from the University of Miami School of Law in 1988. He joined Hiday & Ricke in 1995 and became a shareholder in 1998. With an emphasis on bankruptcy creditor’s rights matters, Jeff specializes in both commercial and bankruptcy law and handles collections cases and subrogation claims.
A member of the Florida Bar and the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, Jeff is admitted to practice before all Federal District Courts in Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A creditor is not required to advise a debtor of all possible exemptions recognized by law which might prevent enforcement of a judgment.
In re Pittman, 289 B.R. 448 (Bankr. M.D. Fla. 2003)
Chapter 13 debtor may not finance the residual purchase price of a vehicle in a Chapter 13. The lease unambiguously required the debtor to make a lump sum payment in order to exercise the purchase option.
Duguid v. Rogers (in Re Rogers), 193 B.R. 55 (Bankr. M.D. Fla. 1996)
The court granted summary judgment in favor of the judgment creditors and held that the award of damages to them in the state court action was nondischargeable by the debtors.
Phillips v. Phillips (In re Phillips), 187 B.R. 363 (Bankr. M.D. Fla. 1995)
