Biography
Attorney Ian T. Weldon is the founder of Weldon Law Group, PLLC, and a trusted advocate for individuals and families throughout Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. With more than 18 years of legal experience, he guides clients through immigration issues, criminal charges, divorce and custody disputes, and estate planning with clarity, confidence, and personal care.
Ian was born and raised in New York before moving to Chicago with his family where he attended the University of Illinois as a scholar-athlete on the men’s swimming and track teams.
In 1995, he moved to Jacksonville and attended law school at the Florida State College of Law and received his Masters in Business administration from the University of Florida and this Masters in Accounting from the University of North Florida. He is an experienced trial attorney (Spanish speaking) with over a decade at the Jacksonville Public Defender’s office specializing in high profile homicide and death penalty cases with a strong background in business.
He is happily married to his wife, Alicia and together they are raising 3 daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, spending time with his family, and rooting for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Very Effective and Knowledgeable
I hired Mr. Weldon to represent me on a criminal matter and within a few court dates the charges were dropped. It was a big relief and Mr. Weldon saw me all the way through this stressful time. I highly recommend him.

Would not reccomend.
I hired Mr. Weldon to represent me in an easy repeat violence injunction case. He was referred by the Florida Bar. Mr. Weldon was ineffective, expensive and not professional. Had to hire someone else to clean up his mess. Would not recommend.
