This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
Public reprimand means the attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar warns the lawyer in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.
Charles’s comment: “This was a violation of the Florida Bar Advertising Rules with regard to a Yellow Pages advertisement. I never have been disciplined for my handling of a case and have been blessed with an unblemished reputation for taking excellent care of my clients for over 20 years.”

The minute you sense an impending divorce battle do yourself a favor and hire Mr.Willmott. You don't want to take the chance that your opponent will hire him first. He will go above and beyond to make sure you are well represented. He truly goes the extra mile and cares about his clients, unlike most attorneys. The outcome is as important to him as it is to you. You can rest assured he will fight to get you the best deal possible! An outstanding attorney! I’ve always had this idea that the divorce process was the nastiest experience one could ever go through, but I can say with all certainty that Mr.Willmott made the experience tolerable, and informative. Through good communication, and an extensive knowledge of the law, Willmott was able to guide me though all of the steps of the divorce process, and tell me what to anticipate. He prepared me, in detail, for the unexpected on the stand, by going over all possible scenarios, which gave me confidence. In addition to his excellent lawyering abilities, his staff Jackie was also highly organized, and very competent. So, If you are looking for an integrated place go to Willmott office. His assistant Jackie will always comfort you and try to understand the emotional issues. Divorce is like a death of love. Even if you're the one who initiated the divorce, you will still grieve. This is because you are not only mourning the loss of your marriage, you are also grieving the loss of your hopes and dreams, the belief of what you thought your life was going to look like. So, Jackie will always be there for you and on the top of your case. At the same place, you will have an attorney that completely understands the process, keeps you involved as things happen, can be reached almost any time, and who aggressively gets things done.
Finally, I rarely take time to post online reviews but my experience with Willmott family has been outstanding that I want to do whatever I can to help other people find the best attorney in Jacksonville.

Charles represented me in my divorce after a 12 year marriage and two young children. It was obvious that he knew from the start what the court likely would and wouldn't award me in terms of child custody, alimony, division of assets and a possible attempt at child relocation. The case went exactly as he predicted in every respect. I will immediately turn to him again should the need arise.

I was a mess the first day I met with him; he immediately put my mind at ease and explained the different outcomes my divorce may have had. He's extremely knowledgeable, up front, and honest. His no nonsense approach is a rarity in his field and was exactly what I needed to get my divorce settled. He made a difficult process bearable and he helped me get a much better settlement than I originally anticipated. I could never thank him enough!

I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Willmott (Professor Willmott to me, as I started out as his pupil back in law school) is a pleasure to work with. He is also an extremely knowledgeable lawyer and an approachable person, which, as a young attorney, is a fantastic resource to have. He never hesitates to pick up the phone and offer advice or an opinion when needed. He is Board Certified in Family Law and it truly shows. His reputation around town is second to none.
