Yikes

Disbarred and on probation and still giving legal advice and filing documents under another lawyer's name....

Competent. Efficient. On top of her game

Ms. Maxey is the attorney you want if you want to be confident you have hired someone who knows what they are doing. From the first meeting you will be guided by an attorney that knows the ins and outs of the legal minefield you are entering. She will guide you every step of the way. If you follow he...r instructions exactly, you will not have anything to worry about, i.e. running up costs. She is methodical and prepared and knows exactly what she is doing. It is comforting to have such a professional there by you every step of the way.

NON RESPONSIVE - DO NOT HIRE

DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER – SHE WAS TOTALLY NON-RESPONSIVE TO MY EMAIL AND PHONE CALLS. SHE HAD EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE ON WHY SHE COULDN’T TALK OR ANSWER EMAIL QUESTIONS. HER OFFICE MADE SEVERAL CRITICAL ADMINISTRATIVE ERRORS: I CAUGHT AN ERROR ON MY SSN WITH CHARACTERS INSTEAD OF NUMBERS, SIMPLE REV...IEW OF THE DOCUMENT BY A SUMMER TEMP WOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT; THEY OVER BILLED MY ACCOUNT BY $250 ON THE FIRST BILL; THEN SENT THE WRONG BILL AND DEMANDED PAYMENT. I WAS PREEMPTED ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS FOR SCHEDULED PHONE CONVERSATIONS. SHE TOOK AN EXTRA MONTH TO FILE PAPERWORK BECAUSE SHE FAILED TO CHECK IF HISTORY FILE WAS AVAILABLE ON LINE. FINALLY, WHEN I ASKED FOR A FACE-TO-FACE MEETING SHE COULDN’T BE BOTHERED.

Jennifer C--Divorce Former Client

I am so happy!!! She is the BEST!!!! I never thought that my divorce could make me this happy!!! Thank you attorney Bennett!!! I have been a dedicated mother and wife my entire life and my world was turned upside down when my husband left me... I thought my life was over. Attorney Bennett kept... telling me to just keep being a good mother and not worry and she would handle all the "hard stuff." I am so glad I trusted attorney Bennett. I get to keep the home I have been living in with the children and will get plenty of child support! I am going to get PERMANENT alimony (which means for the rest of my life pretty much) and I am not going to ever have to worry about money. My ex now even has to pay all of the attorney fees. Attorney Bennett was always so nice that I worried if she would be tough enough in court. Don't worry about that!! Attorney Bennett is a sweetheart to talk to but a TIGER IN COURT!

Very Unethical and Unprofessional

This attorney is very unethical! She refuses to file the paperwork with child support enforcement in order for me to get my sons support money that is over a year and a half past due! She told me (through her assistant) that she will not file the documents until she is paid in full. How can I pay her... if I can't get paid and I can't get paid because she will not file the documents!! She dragged my very simple case out for a year after having cancelled on me five times which tacked on more and more money! I now owe her double than what she initially quoted me! I feel like I have been scammed!!! I begged, literally begged her to work with me in getting this resolved but she has not responded! I am a struggling single mother and she has no compassion for me what so ever. I have cried more tears over her lack of compassion than not having the child support money I so desperately need! Please listen when I tell you, DO NOT retain this attorney!!! You will be taking a big risk!!
