Ms. Mercado was referred through a mutual friend in 2015 when my husband and I were in the middle of felony charge situation. While my husband’s previous attorney who were one of the biggest law firms in Daytona Beach, told him to take an offer deal presented by the State which was 3 year house arres...t, followed by 5 year probation, and no early termination. Which was absolutely unfair deal for our family situation but he didn’t care, didn’t fight for us and he even stopped responding to our meeting requests. When we consult Ms. Mercado, we were devastated like any other people would be in those situations. She listened attentively to understand the background situation and explained what she can or cannot do, set the right expectation and made sure both parties have the same understanding from the beginning. She was/is very knowledgeable in the criminal justice system, yet she researched throughly, prepared for the court, and gave us the best defense possible. Thanks to Ms. Mercado’s tireless effort and flawless defense argument, sentence was reduced to 6 months of house arrest instead of 3 years and followed by 5 year probation. I’d say one of her best quality that sets apart from other attorneys are; she understands clients’ (and their families) best interests and seek out best realistic options, and kept open and honest communication throughout the difficult time period. I would recommend Ms. Mercado to anyone who needs criminal defense attorney.

Ms. Mercado represented my son in a divorce while he was deployed in Afghanistan. Although his (wife ) tried to get as much as she could. Ms. Mercado made it clear to both parties what was realistic. She completed everything required very quickly. She is very straight forward and does not hold back w...hich I find very important. She later defended me in a domestic abuse case ,her compassion , professionalism and integrity shines through all of her work. I later referred her in a felony case. She is very knowledgeable and I have seen her do amazing work. I just looked up her new number today to refer her another friend who needs a great family law attorney. Ms Mercado is the Attorney I would consult in any case, I believe if she could not help me she would have the insight to direct me to the best alternative.
