Charles Hackney Rollins

I'm an experienced attorney working in a variety of fields, but with a special focus on criminal defense at the state and federal level, with an emphasis on complex and serious cases. I do federal criminal defense throughout the Southern District of Georgia - Augusta, Savannah, Statesboro, Brunswick, and surrounding areas.  I do all kinds of criminal defense in the Augusta Judicial Circuit, which includes Columbia, Richmond, and Burke Counties.  I've helped people facing a vast array of charges: everything from drug possession and conspiracy to medicaid fraud, rape, child molestation, and murder.  

I take on the difficult and oftentimes ugly cases, and I get excellent results.

I also have a thriving civil litigation practice where I handle a wide variety of matters, including business litigation, regulatory issues, civil rights litigation, venue and jurisdictional fights, construction and zoning law and litigation, contract disputes, business debt collection, corporate embezzlement and fraud allegations and investigations, and fighting for the rights of children with special needs (the last one is a passion of mine, if you need help with this, contact me even if you think you can't afford it). 

I'm an attorney who is not afraid of the courtroom.  I spend time in one just about every day.  I've been described by friends as a "bad news lawyer.": no one calls me when things are going well, people call me when things in their life are very rough: they or a loved on has been arrested, the feds have raided their home and made off with every computer, cell phone and piece of paper they own; or their business is facing a mortal threat from a lawsuit or other legal issue.  

My practice, just like my life, is rooted in my strong Christian faith.  I believe in the dignity of every human being and treat my clients and their families accordingly.  I'm sympathetic and I promise all of my clients this: no matter what the eventual outcome, you will, at least, fully understand and be involved in every aspect of your case, and I am always compassionate towards my clients and their loved ones.
