I had been trying for almost a year to get approved for SSI disability. I was referred by multiple people to this attorney office. When I went in for my first consultation with Mr. Cates, I had all my documentation that I thought he would need. After reviewing my records and speaking with me for... a bit, he offered to represent me. He has always been able to answer any questions I had, and I've always been able to reach him by phone. I believe he retained my case in June or July of 2018. Mr. Cates called me today to let me know that the Judge ruled me fully disabled, after my hearing on March 30th. When I had initially contacted Mr. Cates for an appointment, I was able to see him within a few days. During the appointment he explained how things would go and what I needed to do on my part very well. When I asked my questions, he answered them extensively and in layman's terms, even though I do h...ave a degree in Paralegal Studies (he did not know this). He then told me what he would be doing for his part. I understood after the initial contact that I would be responsible for the majority of the work, for what my case involved. After everything was done and over with on my part and things were settled, he contacted me and went over the details, making sure I understood the outcome.
