Charles E.W. Barrow

He was hired to represent my daughter in a case with felony charges against her. He did the necessary work and determined that the charges were not accurate. Originally I contacted Charlie for a DUI case. Because of the circumstances of the arrest (admitting to smoking pot, no alcohol in my system) I knew a lawyer would be a good idea, and Charlie totally delivered. The DUI was reduced to reckless driving with a small fine and one year of probation. I kep...t my license and went on with my life. However, during this time, I got arrested for aggressive assault. Again, I felt my situation could be improved by retaining a lawyer, so I talked with Charlie and he agreed to take on my case. In addition to agg assault, I was charged with misdemeanor battery, trespassing, and interfering with a 911 call. This was the most stressful period of my entire life, and Charlie did everything he possibly could to help me out. He was always very straight with me, never painting a pretty picture, making sure I was aware of the best and worst case scenarios. Any time I needed to I would call up his office and his lovely assistant Jennifer, who is amazing herself, would promptly assist me with whatever I needed. They actually handled my divorce during this whole thing for basically nothing. Great people, very helpful and nice, and very down to earth, no b.s. at all. In the end, I did plead guilty to agg assault and battery, the other charges were dropped, but this was my first offense and will be expunged from my record after my probationary period ends. However - NO JAIL TIME, in a situation where I could have gone for over 20 years. I will serve 2 years of probation and pay some fines, but I cannot put a price on the life I will live outside of a cell. I cannot put a price on the peace of mind Charlie and Jennifer have given me, and for that I will be forever grateful. These are wonderful people, and truly feel like family after all they've done for me. I would recommend Charles Barrow to anyone in need of a lawyer. Friendly, helpful, and damn good at what he does.

I am so glad I hired Charlie Barrow! From the first day he started working with me, he was very prompt in coming to the jail to meet me even though I was not in Clarke County. He got me all the necessary legal paperwork pertaining to my case, he returned emails and phone calls very promptly as well.... His professional and assertive presence in court got me the very best decision considering my charges. This was in spite of the DA's unwillingness to negotiate my plea. Months later, I was arrested for a probation violation. Right away he was on top of everything that needed to be done. Again, he was able to get my sentence drastically reduced from what the probation office was recommending. I am very happy with Charlie's representation.
