Hired attorney 2 months ago to file bankruptcy and after the filing didn't hear from attorney until 4 weeks later even after continuous calls and numerous voice messages. Replied last February 03, 2015What this client fails to mention is that the the filing fees for a Chapter 7 are $335 and the legal fees start at $900. My office filed an emergency petition at no cost to prevent a repossession and succeed in doing so. We filed for a fee waiver but when clients move, change jobs and do not answer their phones we have no way of knowing what they want to do with their case. If your case gets dismissed you do not qualify for a fee waiver and are liable for the $335 filing fee plus attorney fees. My office accepts payment plans on a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly basis. I am sorry that your experience was less than stellar. My goal is to provide legal services with an eye toward your comfort and satisfaction.
