Alexa J. Kwartin is the owner and managing partner of Kwartin Family Law. Alexa was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Having grown up with divorced parents, she is familiar with the issues and stress involved in many family law matters on a personal level.
Alexa received her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Economics from Emory University in 2008. She then went on to law school at University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. While in law school, Alexa was active as the Chair of the Law School Honor Committee and received honors such as Dean’s List recognition and a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement for her Pro Bono Work. She graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree, as well as a Certificate in Family Law, in 2011.
Alexa has volunteered countless hours of her time assisting indigent clients in filling out pro se divorce documents as well as working as a Guardian ad Litem for children removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect.
While in law school, Alexa worked as a Summer Associate for a Family Law firm in Atlanta and participated in a Full Representation Law Clinic with the law school in order to gain as much hands-on experience as possible in many areas of Family Law, including child advocacy, divorce, legitimation, paternity, custody, child support, contempt, and modification.
Since graduating, Alexa has worked as an Associate Attorney for Stewart Family Law, located in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Alexa is dedicated to helping her clients find the best options for their individual needs. She understands that family law matters can be draining and stressful, and she strives to meet the needs of her clients in a holistic, as well as legal sense. She is a responsible, talented, and compassionate lawyer whose primary goal is to serve the families of Atlanta as they go through difficult situations.
In her free time, Alexa enjoys taking long walks in Piedmont Park with her dog, traveling, going to art festivals, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
