It's hard to think of enough positive adjectives to truly describe Mindy. However, hard working, intelligent, quick thinking, creative, trustworthy, and professional immediately come to mind.
I interviewed at least 20 attorneys before choosing Mindy, and it was definitely the right decision. She believed in me and my case, when others did not. I would recommend her to any mother or father during a child custody case.

High conflict Divorce
Ms. Smith represented me in a divorce case where custody was an issue. Ms. Smith has a great staff who was always available to answer my questions and address the needs of my case. Ms. Smith also promptly returns calls. Ms. Smith routinely updated me on the status of my case, and I didn't have to reach out to her first. As a business owner who has to deal with lawyers routinely, I can say that Ms. Smith is one of the best litigators I have ever seen. She is very experienced at handling cases involving conflict. I was able to concentrate on my business and let her handle all the issues of my case. She really knows the law, and no one can intimidate her. The opposing attorney seemed to have a lot of respect for her as well. I would highly recommend Ms. Smith for any family law matter especially cases involving a business, substantial assets, and custody issues.

Very knowledgeable and extremely patient
I had a coworker/friend that used Mindy Smith as her divorce attorney and had a great experience with her. She ended up with the outcome she was hoping for and when I found myself with family law/custody questions, I knew exactly who I wanted to speak with. I found Mindy extremely knowledgeable and she was able to point me in the right direction and helped me to understand the situation and the laws surrounding it. I asked her lots of questions, as I was pretty uninformed, and I never got the feeling she was irritated or trying to rush through our conversation. She explained everything I asked her to, and I left the consultation feeling informed and knowing what the next step would be. I found her to be extremely patient and compassionate with me and got the feeling that she truly wants what is best for a family. I feel like I have an ally and if I have anymore questions, she will help point me in the right direction. I would certainly feel more than comfortable referring her to others going through divorce/family law issues.

Empowered
During the weakest and most confusing time in my life, Mindy was an "anchor." Being a transplant to Atlanta, GA, Mindy educated me on the laws of divorce and child custody and made me feel at ease. Between Mindy and Jan (her paralegal), I was always well informed with the status of my case. It was always easy to communicate and get a hold of either ladies at any time. Mindy addressed all of my concerns, and things that I was not even aware of that would impact my future. I was empowered not only as a woman but also as a new single mother after working with Mindy and her team.

Excellent attorney
Mindy is a truly exceptional lawyer. She was caring, honest, and straightforward. She was ferocious when it was required. Excellent litigator during trial.
Mindy came highly recommended, and I know why. While all divorce cases are tough, mine was that "less than 1%" style case. She informed me of all options every step of the way, and made herself available to meet or answer any questions. Even though she is the expert, I always felt as though the decisions and the direction of the case were completely up to me. Her knowledge of difficult custody situations and her abilities are why my children are 100% safer today.
I highly recommend Mindy if you are going to be (or are already) engaged in a divorce.

TERRIBLE
Terrible communication. I hired this attorney July of last year, explained situation, sent all documents and payment. I was told paperwork would be filed with the court the following week. Still, to this day, I have no clue if the paperwork was filed because for whatever reason I never received any correspondence from Ms. Smith. I have called and was told several times I would receive a call back within 24-48 hours each time. Still waiting on a call back or email.
