Mr. Shapiro helped reduce some of our headache that we were running into. We lived out of state and needed to get a Divorce process started and get it over with and Mr. Shapiro did just that for us. I wish there were an option below Poor rating. On first contact, Mr Shapiro was engaging and responsive. Trying to handle a case in GA where I no longer reside was challenging at best; therefore, I needed to trust a local legal team to take charge and keep me informed. After the initial retainer ...was paid, there was some work completed and even an appearance in court that should have resulted in a much different outcome. Like an idiot, I him more to coordinate with the right officials to execute the judge's ruling. To date (going on 3 years now), I have received no response (i.e., numerous emails, letters, phone calls, etc.) on what actions or outcomes he took after the second payment. I even traveled to his office from out of state for a face to face. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE -- unprofessional and did not meet my expectations. Funny twist -- My last conversation with him occurred when I called from the GA hotel. He answered his phone and when Mr Shapiro realized who it was -- he said he'd get back to me. That has now been over 3 years ago. Long story short. Mr Shapiro did not accomplish what was expected, he did not coordinate with the right county and state officials to resolve in his words what 'should be a pretty straight forward' case. I'm still waiting on escrow funds to be distributed back to me or the child support agency. They have no record of receiving any monies.

Eric Shapiro was recommended to me by a mutual friend and I was a little nervous at first but he more than reassured me. Eric made sure that we focused on the best case scenario for not only the kids but the pets as well. He was responsive and caring making sure I felt heard and that my ex wife's p...arty felt respected. He made sure that I was well advised on the situation. I am a meticulous person making sure all the details are hammered out and he followed through. He met with me several times in person and this only reassured me more that he was the right choice. Not only was his council informative but also humorous at times making the situation less tense. The results could not have been better we are in the best situation after the divorce and the kids are in a stable place. There is no "winning" with divorce but I don't think I could have asked for a better situation. I appreciate all his hard work but you should take him on yourself and see the results.

I had to file / sue for custody of my son from the mother who had taken him out of state. Mr Shapiro worked for all the rights as a father the law offers. We had three court appearances, including the final trail. In every appearance, Mr. Shapiro was very prepared. He knew the judges, and even more i...mportant, he knew the law. He seemed to always be a step ahead of the defense attorney. He was very strategic in dealing with them. And in the end, that made a difference to the Judge. He also knew correctly how other cases would be ruled on based on the statutes. I mean cases that were in front of us while we waited to be called. When we finally went to trail, there were about 9 things I had on my list that I wanted legal rights to and just personally wanted. He got me 8 of 9. And the only reason it wasn't all nine is because it wasn't something the court could have decided on legally. I got all the rights to my son, and we are now together. I was very impressed with him as a trail lawyer. He seemed to frustrate the defendants attorney throughout, and the judge even spoke highly of his efforts on my behalf. I would highly recommend hiring Eric as your attorney. If I every have any other issues, I'll be going back to him and his expertise.. Get him before he get too booked to take on your case. He's worth every penny spent, and beyond money, I will forever be indebted to him for everything he did for me and my son.
