From the aches and pains I had in the beginning to dealing with the insurance companies one-on-one. But then, having to go through litigation –again, it was very stressful. I was a client of Mr Suggs approximately three and a half years ago. He charged me an up-front flat fee rather than an hourly fee, which was a red flag. (I say a red flag because another attorney I dealt with asked for a retainer fee to create an escrow account, and he charged me an hourly rate and p...aid himself from that escrow account, documenting the hours he spent on the case. When the escrow account funds were exhausted, it was only then that this particular attorney billed me for any additional amount. ) Another attorney said that it's better not to pay a flat fee to an attorney as this can cause the attorney to lose incentive to pursue the case (because he's already received full payment). Additionally, Mr Suggs didn't stay in touch with me to let me know how my case was progressing. I had to initiate every contact. This too was different from my prior experience with attorneys, each of whom sent me regular letters to keep me updated on my case. Also, Mr Suggs was very unresponsive to my contacts. He didn't return any of my calls, and he didn't respond to any emails, faxes, or letters.

I had the same experience with Suggs. He took money upfront with me. He also took evidence that I provided to him for the case and never returend. He never reported any steps in the case. He avoided my calls, had his secretary screening my calls. I think he is very unprofessional and my dealings w...ere horrific.
