I am from out of town, but work in Atlanta often. I received a DUI charge late at night, my second(First reduced to wreckless driving many years ago). I refused to do the breathalizer test but for some reason, agreed to the field test and did not do well. I was charged with a DUI.
The next day I was reviewing attorneys and came across Richard. His reviews were outstanding and he had claimed to have gotten people a reduction with a second DUI charge. I got in touch with Richard and he was immediately available. We put a plan together and he worked thru all the barriers. He was very honest with me every step of the way, which was not always good. He tells it like it he sees it.
I delayed the process for almost a year, but we were finally gonna have to face the music, but I got cold feet and asked to change the venue to Fulton while in the hearing. We were going to plead out and get the DUI with very favorable comm. service, no jail time and all the other things as my case was a no win.
So we went to Fulton. I again had to delay the hearings for various reasons. When the hearing finally came, Richard worked like magic. I was prepared to go with the DUI, but he somehow got them to agree to a wreckless driving charge. I can't imagine another attorney doing a better job with this. He has wonderful qualities and was very patient answering my many questions and thoughts.
Sorry to be so wordy, but he is worth it. Great job Richard!

I am so glad I was able to have an attorney that did everything on my behalf. When you hire Richard, you get a well oiled support staff as well! The "BEST" move I could have made. Two citations completely removed, suspended license reinstated and a DUI down to reckless.

I travel extensively with my company and while being out of town, I was stopped for Failure to Maintain Lane and after failing the field sobriety tests, I was arrested for DUI and taken to jail. I was charged with Driving Under the Influence > .08, DUI Alcohol Less Safe and Failure to Maintain Lane. I blew a .175 which is almost double the legal limit. Besides being out of town and not knowing anyone, I did not want anyone to find out about my incident.
I was fortunate to see the reviews for Mr. Lawson and sent him a message late on Friday night. He responded early on Saturday morning and based on our conversation, I hired him. He told me to calm down and not be so stressed over the arrest and to let him look into everything. Before I ever went to arraignment or court, I followed all of his recommendations with attending DUI School, Drug & Alcohol Counseling(recommended AA meetings and MADD Impact Panel) and 40 Hours of Community Service. After I had completed my 40 hours of Community Service and sent him the copies, he called me on a Sunday afternoon and suggested that I complete another 40 hours of community Service as it would look better. I am thinking to myself, does this man ever take time off? He was always quick to respond to calls and texts.
Three days before going to court he called me and when I was questioning him about a reduction or dismissal of the charges, he said that I didn't have a very good case so he didn't know how it would turn out. We went to Court and he was able to get two charges dropped and was able to get the DUI Alcohol Less Safe reduced to Reckless Driving. I could not believe he could do all of that but he knows exactly what to do. If you need a GREAT attorney to help you with your case, I highly recommend Mr. Lawson. He worked a miracle in my case and I could not be happier.

Mr. Richard has reduced my first DUI offense to reckless driving. I’m satisfied with the outcome because it is helping me with my employment and immigration. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an attorney to deal with the DUI charge. Thanks for your help Richard.

Richard is an excellent lawyer. He is very professional and accessible via all modes of communication. He was successful in reducing my DUI to a reckless driving even with a high BAC. I was pleasantly surprised at what he was able to do. He knows many prosecutors and judges in the area which helps a ton. He is worth every penny. Make sure to follow all of his suggestions closely to give yourself the best chance.

If you are reading this review then you probably were charged with a DUI like I was. Now listen to me, stop sweating it, you can't change what happened but you can change the outcome. Call Mr. Lawson now. After I was arrested I spent countless hours stressing over which attorney to hire, after talking with several I decided to go with Mr Lawson. Thank God I did. I was charge with a DUI and 2- child endangerments and an open container to go along with everything else. (I know bad dad!) I did exactly as informed by Mr. Lawson and he got everything dropped expect the DUI. No additional jail time, did not loose my driving license. So if you got a DUI anywhere in GA. stop sweating it and call him today, you will be glad you did as I was.

I had a DUI many years ago in Atlanta and Richard helped me to reduce it to a reckless driving charge. Moreover, when I recently had to prove that I have completed the requirements, Richard provided speedy and professional response. Highly recommend Richard!

In July 2019 I was arrested for my third DUI. I was drinking and my car broke down on the way home. When the police showed up I was given a field sobriety test which I did not refuse. After the field sobriety test I refused a breathalyzer. At that point I was arrested.
Note about the resolution of my case: I was charged with a THIRD DUI. This charge was miraculously reduced to Reckless Driving with no probation and minimal fines. Mr. Lawson is truly a miracle worker. Please continue reading for more about my overall experience with Mr. Lawson.
After bonding out of jail I was terrified. I have a wonderful career and my Grandmother lives with me so the severe consequences of jail time, losing my license, fines, fees, etc left me feeling hopeless. After an intense internet search I found Richard Lawson. On a Sunday afternoon I filled out the contact form on Mr. Lawson's website hoping that he would get back to me the next day (Monday). To my surprise, Mr. Lawson's office got back to me within an hour of filling out the form... ON A SUNDAY! They were incredibly helpful and walked me through every step of the process. Mr. Lawson also provided his cell phone number and informed me that I could reach out to him anytime I had questions. Mr. Lawson and his team responded to emails quickly and I cannot stress how helpful they were throughout the process.
If you have been arrested in GA then you need to call Richard Lawson. I cannot stress this enough. Sadly, I have needed the service of an attorney before and never had such a stress free experience with results I never could have dreamed. This experience taught me a lot and without the help of Richard Lawson it could have turned out to be catastrophic to my future. I can now go back to enjoying my career and taking care of my family.

From the minute I called Richard explaining I needed a lawyer to help me fight some tickets I incurred during my car accident, he was readily available to help and was very knowledgeable of the laws surrounding the tickets. He was always prompt and professional in all of our correspondence. Richard was able to drop one of the tickets entirely, ensured my license would not be suspended and ensured there were no points added to my license- a complete win all around. I cannot thank him enough for his assistance and expertise. He fought to get me the best deal possible and for that, I am forever grateful. He is an expert in his field and is willing to fight for you- would absolutely recommend!

I went to Richard, after receiving a DUI with two child endangerment counts. These are serious charges. I was in a very bad mental place at the time of that choice, and needed to change my life. When I went to Richard, my hopes of a good outcome with my situation were low. In GA, each child endangerment charge, paired with a DUI, is considered an additional DUI charge. This was my first DUI. However, I was facing a possible outcome of 3 DUIs due to this one event. If not acted upon, I would have had up to 3 years jail time, 360 community service hours, would have lost my license (and my job/life) for a considerable amount of time, all with considerably more consequences to follow.
Richard gave me a very specific series of actions to follow. I followed every single recommendation provided, and more when I could. He set me up to receive literally the best possible outcome for my case, per state law. In the end, I received 30 community service hours, 3 days in jail (2 for 1, with time spent credited), and the minimum requirement by the state of a 4 month license suspension. I was able to keep my job, my family, attend a 12 month treatment program, create a healthy life, complete all DUI driving courses, and all community service hours, prior to my court date. When I finally had my court date, I had completed almost every requirement I could have received. This was all because I took my commitment to my case/recovery, as seriously as my charges. I worked towards my own long-term happiness. I LISTENED and FOLLOWED Richards advice! This is very important, as you are a very large factor in your own outcome, beyond your attorney.
I am now able to: Act as an "emotionally present" mother to my children; Live a happy and fulfilling life; Create relationships with many people (who truly love me); and Create a life financially where I am moving forward. I do not feel a second of my 13 months was lost. I used it wisely, WITH Richard's guidance, to create a lifetime of better choices.
Richard is an extremely knowledgeable attorney. He genuinely takes the time to listen to his clients, understand them, and present the best path pertaining to their life and legal situation. A lot of thought goes into his decisions and words. He does not hesitate to take extra time from his personal life, to apply it towards something he strongly believes in (his clients case outcomes).
I feel blessed and thankful for the opportunities given, and the hard work of everyone involved to achieve this outcome. All odds were risen above.
Thank you Richard!! Truly.
