Stephen Reginald Fowler

I learned years after settling my accident case that the specialist doctor I used never ordered an MRI of my mid to upper back where I said I had a lot of pain and instead ordered an MRI of my neck. I am not a doctor and do not know the terminology for the different types of MRIs and was not able to ...understand my MRI results without the help of another doctor. Also, when you arrive for the MRI they don’t tell you what specific area is being imaged. You are simply given instructions and are stuffed in the same big MRI machine whether it’s for your back, pelvis, or neck so you trust that your doctor ordered the correct procedure and your attorney would catch on if something was wrong or off. Essentially, my case was settled without me knowing the full scope of my injuries. After years of debilitating, unbearable mid back pain, I went to a new specialist and provided the MRI of what I believed was the middle of my back. That’s when I was told the MRI was for my neck and not mid to upper back. After having an MRI of my mid-upper back this year, I learned I have three additional herniated discs, bulging discs, a cyst, and nerve impingement in that area of my back. After other unsuccessful treatments, I’m now doing expensive and painful spinal injections to help with the pain. Certainly, the doctor who ordered the wrong MRI has responsibility to bear, however, I feel that Mr. Fowler does too. How can an attorney adequately represent you when they aren’t even paying attention to these things? Attention to detail is key. I complained about severe lower and mid to upper back pain, but I only had an MRI of my lower back. I also spoke to my attorney referring to both MRIs as relating to my back. That should have been a red flag for my attorney. I previously believed that the MRI done for my neck was actually for my mid-upper back, but now many years later a new doctor informed me that I was wrong. I am shocked that Mr. Fowler didn’t notice, catch on or care that I had an MRI of my neck instead of mid back. I called Mr. Fowler to discuss this with him, but he never contacted me again. He’s been compensated for my case and, of course, now he’s a ghost. I should have gone with a more experienced attorney/firm, but I thought more money would be in my pocket if I didn’t use one of the big personal injury firms. Now, I’ve settled my case for way less than I should have received, I have expensive and painful treatments that I need to keep paying for and my case with Mr. Fowler benefited him way more than it benefitted me. I’m very sad, hurt, and disappointed by what has fully transpired now. I do not recommend The Fowler Firm to anyone and you’re better off using one of the big name personal injury firms for any case you have. Large firm or small firm, they all charge the same amount anyway 33.33%. Don’t risk your health and future well-being, use a great firm that knows how to dot their i’s and cross their t’s.

I was involved in a vehicle accident that was caused by someone else. I was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit. The other driver was uninsured.
