I reached out to Stephanie Housefield back early 2023 for “improper lane change” traffic violation and paid $650 for attorney representation fees. I had no prior traffic tickets in the county, no ticket for the past 7 years and I never had any criminal record. She listened to me, asked few questions,... and confirmed she would be able to represent me. I have not heard back until five months later when she sent an email saying “The court’s system has been updated, and the fine is now ready to be paid. Again, the prosecutor reduced the offense to a “basic rules violation,” which is not a reportable violation. This means you will not receive points, it won’t appear on your driving history, and insurance won’t know about it". I happily paid the fines to the court and said thank you. Great outcome – No insurance increase, no record on my driving history…. until early 2026, 3 years later, when a potential employer decided to run a background check as part of the employment process and found out to my surprise I had a criminal record – “misdemeanor for basic rules – Too Fast for Conditions” which I did not know. I reached out to her via email to ask is she knew about this, but I did not receive any feedback. This is frankly dishonest, unethical, deceptive, and untrustworthy. A lawyer is supposed to represent the clients in good faith and ensure they are informed of all consequences, good or bad. Or at the very least, provide complete feedback. When you contact this lawyer, make sure you ask detailed questions about the final outcome and even better, show up yourself at the court hearing to avoid any surprise.

I’m not quite sure where the 5-star reviews come from. I have a strong feeling that they must be close family/friends or paid for. My brother had an extremely disappointing experience with Stephanie Housefield. Unfortunately, she provided subpar services from start to finish. Her listed address is in...correct on every platform, including the Georgia Bar, making her impossible to locate in person. Communication was nearly impossible as she only responded via text. She repeatedly failed to return calls despite numerous promises. She also failed to file crucial documentation, and did not show up for scheduled hearings. This left the situation unresolved, and resulted in my brother’s incarceration. I would strongly advise against hiring her for any legal matters.

Ms. Housefield was engaged to assist with a minor traffic offense in the hopes of securing the best possible outcome and the least impact on insurance. She was knowledgeable, thorough, and a great communicator, letting us know exactly what was needed and by when. She handled everything that was neede...d, and all of it electronically (at least for my part), which I greatly appreciated. Although I hope to never need an attorney for this kind of thing again, I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again, and I would enthusiastically recommend her for any similar need.

I had a lot of anxiety and worried about my court case in another jurisdiction. She made sure to put my anxieties at ease and reassured me that she would take care of me. She even found a way for me to not have to appear in front of a judge and disposed of my case with ease. I'd recommend her to all ...my family and friends because I know she will give them quality representation!
