Welcome to one of the newest litigation boutiques in Atlanta, Georgia, practicing under the name "Deborah S Ebel, LLC". This is Debby's dream job rounding out the last and best third of her career practicing family law. Family law melds her expertise as a litigator with the compassion that came with her social work degree and real work experience. Family law is the practice area that allows Debby to use her business litigation background and the financial acumen garnered from representing Fortune 100 and 500 companies in complex business disputes in her years as a partner at McKenna, Long & Aldridge, LLP, spanning almost three decades.
Debby is now in a compact, efficient physical environment, surrounded by really top flight professionals. This is a law practice where kindness, mutual respect between lawyer and client, and a goal of creating a superior work product (whether it be a hearing, a trial, a brief or a successful appeal) prevails. This is a law practice which results in getting the client, at bare minimum, what the client wants, and on those more precious moments, more than what they wanted. We are accessible to our clients every day of the work week and often on weekends and holidays, instead of hiding behind a layer of secretaries and assistants. We believe in frequent communication with the client. We are not a volume practice with the goal of getting clients in and out the door in a continuous stream. We devote attention to detail. We represent men and women, plaintiffs and defendants. After achieving the best result reasonably possible, balanced against the cost of getting there, our next biggest indicator of success is a referral from our client's opponent - the highest form of flattery and accomplishment.

I hired Deborah to help me file the papers in a divorce where my husband and I had already agreed to most of the terms. She helped me think through the possible outcomes and make decisions and helped me to keep costs down by letting me write much of the settlement agreement myself. She is knowledge...

I was so fortunate to have Ms. Ebel agree to represent me. Needless to say, my divorce, after a 30 year marriage, was the most difficult time in my life. Ms. Ebel provided excellent legal leadership and went above and beyond my expectations. She was constant in her resolve to represent my interes...

Deborah Ebel did an amazing job and was helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to clearly explain to me what everything meant and the coarse of action to take. I trust her completely and it was a really good feeling during a stressful time.

We have worked with Ms. Ebel twice in the past several years, first on custody and then on a contempt case where the defendant was not living up the the agreement set forth. She was incredibly understanding, responsive, and always sought out the best solution for all involved. Her counsel was excelle...
"I endorse this lawyer. Debby was a staff attorney at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society during the time I was Director. She was a conscientious attorney in all of her work, but I particularly endorse her because of the amazing work she did for years representing the Mariel Cubans in the early 1980's. She worked tirelessly in that role in support of the rights of about 2000 Cuban detainees to due process. It was a daunting task to represent these clients against the federal government, particularly because there was almost no precedent to support our position, and in fact the precedent while old and questionable was against us. Debby was amazing in coming up with new theories and in putting together extensive briefs in very short periods of time. The quality of her work was applauded by the district court judge, Marvin Shoob, who heard the case; in fact she was entirely successful at the trial level (although not ultimately successful on appeal)."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Deborah Ebel since the 1980s as a fierce and highly effective advocate for her clients, who is a person of integrity."
"Debby is a diligent and dedicated advocate for her clients. She is not intimidated by any challenge. Her patience and compassion drive her to help people facing difficult situations, and her knowledge and experience equip her to handle even the most complex issues."
"I endorse this lawyer. Debbie works tirelessly to provide the most thorough representation possible to her family law clients."
