Biography
Sarah has been practicing workers' compensation law for over 11 years and serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Workers' Compensation Claimant's section of the Georgia Trial Lawyer's Association, the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section, the Executive Committee for the Georgia Injured Workers' Advocates, and serves on the Super Lawyer's Rising Stars National Board of Directors. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for college and Case Western Reserve School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. Sarah moved to Atlanta in 2004 and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Carter Center for International Peace working on the International Criminal Court developments and international human rights violations. After gaining extensive trial experience while working as a Special Assistant Attorney General, Sarah began practicing workers' compensation law for a large defense firm, initially representing Employers and Insurers. She practiced insurance defense for over 4 years, often witnessing how the insurance companies denied legitimate treatment that the injured workers needed in order to get them to settle their claims for less than they were due. Sarah uses the knowledge that she gained during that time and applies it to each claim she now handles, representing Georgia's injured workers. Sarah is a strong trial lawyer and has successfully handled countless workers' compensation claims at the trial level as well as all appellate levels. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Injured Workers Advocates, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Sarah is also the President of Holiday Helping Hands, Inc., a non-profit she created to help the children of injured workers with presents during the holidays.
