Michaela Lauren Mericle

I hired Michaela 2014 when my ex wife illegally obsconded from the UK to the US with my children. I was very naive at the time and assumed any lawyer I hired would have their client's (me) best interest at heart and would give them the best possible advice. I was advised by Michaela that despite the ...fact my ex wife had illegally taken my kids from the UK, my chances of winning a case for full custody and having them returned to the UK were slim at best and i was advised to just go for access. Thinking she knew best, i took her advice. I was informed a few years later by another lawyer that this advice was beyond comprehension as there was absolutely no way i couldve lost a case where the children were illegally removed from the UK in direct contravention of a UK court order. I can only assume that despite being hired by me, she had a bias towards my ex wife, being a female. My kids are grown now, 18 & 20, and having been removed from a very safe environment in the UK to a far from safe environment in the US, surrounded drugs, guns & very unsavoury individuals, my children have had a very difficult life. Michaela essential aided in my ex wife's illegal relocation to the US.

I would caution against choosing Michaela Mericle as your attorney. My experience with her as an attorney was disappointing and costly. I found her communication regarding the legal process to be unclear, which left me feeling left in the dark and unsupported. Unfortunately, errors were made in ha...ndling my case, and I was billed for their correction. When I addressed these concerns with Ms. Mericle, her response was defensive, and I felt my feedback was not taken seriously. I noticed discrepancies in billing practices that raised questions about transparency and integrity. It seemed that Ms. Mericle's priorities may have been influenced more by financial gain than by providing effective legal representation and support. I would strongly advise exploring other options for legal representation.

I cannot recommend Michaela enough- she took what was undoubtedly one of the most stressful events of my life and made the entire process as painless as possible. She was aware of my budget going in and did everything she could to stay within my needs cost wise. She was on top of everything, every st...ep along the way and was often reaching out to my ex's attorney to keep them at our pace. Without her, the entire process would have been even more lengthy and costly. She had mine and my kids best interest at the forefront of every step along the way. I felt protected, educated, advised and secure every step of the way. I have already recommended Michaela to several other acquaintances and I would absolutely use her again should I ever find myself needing legal services.

I had a good experience with this attorney. She handled my custody case with efficiency, and managed to try to stay within my budget. While I did not always received a response the same day I called or emailed her, I did receive responses within about 48 hours. Most importantly, she was able to ge...t me custody of my little girl. Not an easy thing to do for a Dad in the south. I would definitely recommend her.
