Deborah Brooke Koslin

I found Deb Koslin to be an extremely bright and more than competent lawyer. When I first met with Deb, I had recently been served with divorce papers, and I was not emotionally ready to deal with the process ahead. Deb reassuring and made me feel like we could take it one step at a time. I truste...d that I could think about "the next step" and Deb and her team would be developing a strategy for me. That trust was definitely rewarded. She always kept me updated and informed without making me feel overwhelmed. I am very conflict adverse and I appreciated that she tried to do everything she could to reach an agreement in my case. However, ultimately when my ex-spouse was unreasonable she was very strong in her advice that she believed I could do better taking my case to trial. I asked her what she thought I could expect, and though she explained she couldn't make a guarantee, she told me what child support, alimony, and division of our assets might look like from our judge based on her experience. She ended up being right, and the judge's ruling was almost exactly the same as what she told me I could expect and far better than what my spouse was offering in settlement negotiations. Deb is experienced, but my ex-spouse's attorney is much older than Deb and had been practicing longer. I trusted she would do a good job in court as she was very knowledgeable and professional throughout my case. Again, I was not disappointed by her performance. Though my ex-spouse's attorney had been practicing longer than Deb, she seemed to be successful on every objection made by either attorney. When my case was over my ex and I had a few points we disagreed on. When I contacted her she would always respond, and though my case was over she still made me feel just as much of a priority as when I was a paying customer. With so many attorneys out there, I feel very fortunate that I found Deb.

I worked with Deborah for a child custody modification, and she was absolutely fantastic. It is very rare to have an associate with as much wisdom as she has. She handles herself like a very well seasoned attorney - with poise, command, and vigor. She always listened carefully to my concerns and s...trategized with me to get the desired results - oftentimes working outside of normal business hours due to the necessity to act quickly in my situation. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to represent them for child custody modification.
