Eufemia Marisa Cabrera-D'Amour

The extremely grounded and humble Attorney Cabrera D'Amour served as an intern with the Georgia Public Defender Council (GPDC), where she conducted legal research, drafted motions and demand letters and completed an update of the trial attorney's trial notebook with a focus on the new Evidence Code.

During Eufemia's eleven year term with Fulton County Superior Court she learned, participated and played an integral role in the progression of criminal cases from initiation through disposition in both the Non-Complex and Complex Divisions in turn, building strong relationships with the various agencies involved. As Case Manager to The Honorable Judge LaGrua, her responsibilities reached far beyond case disposition and the occasional probation revocation. In addition to managing approximately 300 criminal cases, she also assisted with the court's “My Life Matters” program, the Re-entry program, and the Repeat Offender Project. Attorney Cabrera D'Amour also spent time serving under The Honorable Judge Wenona C Belton as Judicial Case Manager before her current position with the GPDC.

When she's not working and seeking to advance her extensive and perceptive arsenal of knowledge, she is engaging with her lively daughter and family or can be found on the roads as one of Atlanta's avidlady cyclists. Eufemia comes to Atlanta from the New York/New Jersey area and is able to apply her street smarts to her work in a unique one of a kind fashion.
