Allison B. Vrolijk

Our son’s private tutor regularly attends IEP meetings for students with Language Based Learning differences, and indicated that she had never attended a meeting as collaborative and positive in tone as our meeting led by Allison Vrolijk. We struggled for many years to get an IEP for my son until we... hired Allison. I keep her on retainer because I never want to attend another meeting without her knowledge and support. She is always willing to phone conference with me, and strives to avoid unnecessary meetings to avoid charging me when she can advise me of what to do over the phone.

We hired Allison to represent our son in his IEP meeting, and for proper placement in Special Education in the Cobb County School District. She was his attorney for 5 months spanning a complicated placement situation with mid-school-year movement between elementary school and middle school. She got t...he desired results for us, and we were advised by county personnel that what she accomplished had "never been done before" in the history of the county. She was extremely knowledgeable of all the appropriate laws and county procedures. Allison was always professional, prepared, and thorough in her communication with us and in all IEP meetings. These contentious meetings were with approximately 20 school/county representatives, and legal representation by the county as well. She raised all the appropriate questions and worked behind the scenes to advocate for our son for the most efficient meetings and the best outcome. We could never have had the success we needed, and that he was entitled to, in our son's placement without her. She is the best of the best. You can absolutely trust her to know the laws and get you the best placement and outcome for your child as well.

We hired Allison to represent my daughter in elementary school. Allison has an excellent working relationship with the schools and can peacefully get things done. She is also extremely knowledgeable about the specifics of the test scores on neuropsychological and psych-ed testing. Allison can revi...ew these scores and find areas where the school has not adequately served the child. While Allison is known for a peaceful resolution, don't let that fool you into thinking she is a mouse. She very directly called out false data the school provided in regards to my daughter's grades. Additionally, she noted the school was ignoring one of her neuropsych scores that required speech intervention. I highly recommend Allison based on our experience with her.

We love Allison Vrolijk! My son has autism and was having a very difficult time in his school in 5th grade. We hired her and he is now a freshman in Highschool doing absolutely amazing! I never could have imagined him doing this well! She has also helped with my daughter that has ADHD, asperger synd...rome, and dyslexia. She’s now making straight A’s and has a reading lexile of a college student and she is in 7th grade! None of this would have been possible without Mrs Vrolijk.
