Allison B. Vrolijk

As a fellow attorney, I would highly recommend Allison Vrolijk. She has outstanding credentials and a high level of expertise in her field. Roared like a lion during our first meeting and portrayed a "burn it down attitude." When we got to the IEP meeting, she was like a church mouse. My wife and I were shocked at the personality change. Also, she told us that she charges her full $250/hour for travel time but doesn't charge for email...s and quick phone calls. "It's easier for everyone and it all evens out in the end." Well, that didn't last long; within two weeks, we realized we were being charged for both. In our opinion, Allison is unethical. Allison Doesn't litigate and the schools know it. She has no teeth, so don't expect the school to do much. You can do just as well with an educational advocate at half the price. Allison has good basic knowledge but is weak in applying it. When we shared a private psych eval, Allison was intent on sharing her evaluation even though she had never met our son. Further, she went on to charge us for her research on anxiety! Allison seemed angry when I called her out on this. I think there are probably some valid reasons why Allison works alone in her home office.

We hired Allison when we first moved to GA since we heard so many great things about her. We wanted to have someone help us navigate a new school system and make sure our daughter rec’d all the services she needed. Allison was there every step of the way and answered all of our questions. She has ...a vast amount of knowledge for special needs kiddos and the school system. She helped us tremendously. I can’t Thank her enough. And she still takes the time to answer any questions we may have. She cares about her clients and it shows!! I’m happy to know that she is there for us always.

We’ve had Allison by our side at our IEP meetings for the past four years. She is a tremendous asset for our family. She brings a professional and friendly tone to the table and looks through data thoroughly. While she has a friendly demeanor, she is not afraid to play hardball and demand answers on ...discrepancies. Our daughter has come a long way through Allison’s guidance and for that, we appreciate her very much. She is there whenever we have a concern, either talking is through it or showing up to the meeting at our request. I will always recommend Allison to anyone needing a special ed attorney. She is wonderful!
