DO NOT HIRE HIM WHATSOEVER!!!!

⭐️ 1 STAR — DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY I would not recommend Miles Stephen Cowan to anyone looking for an attorney who will communicate, show up, and take their case seriously. I hired Mr. Cowan and paid him $1,700 toward my representation. I was given the impression that he would aggressively w...ork on my case and pursue getting my charges dropped or reduced. What I experienced instead was poor communication, unanswered questions, having to repeatedly chase down updates, and multiple problems with his handling of my court dates. There were court dates where he did not show up. On one occasion, his representation paperwork had not even been properly handled, which resulted in the matter being pushed back. Then came my most recent court date. The day before court, this attorney told me, “I think you have a court date tomorrow.” I had to call the court myself to confirm that I did. He told me he would be there. He wasn’t. While I was sitting in court, he was texting me asking where the judge was on the calendar. Let that sink in. The attorney I paid to represent me was asking ME where the judge was while I was sitting in the courtroom. And today, at the first court date he actually attended, he walked right past me without even speaking to me and carried himself like he was the greatest attorney in the courtroom. Then he said to me, “Oh, you’re going to get what you’re going to get anyways in prison.” That statement alone tells me everything I need to know about how he views his client and the situation I’m dealing with. I did not pay $1,700 to be ignored, confused about my own court dates, have my attorney fail to appear, or be spoken to like my situation doesn’t matter. And this isn’t about being upset because I didn’t get the outcome I wanted. I understand that an attorney cannot control a judge or guarantee an outcome. My issue is the way I was treated, the lack of communication, the missed court appearances, the representations made to me when I hired him, and the overall lack of confidence I now have in his handling of my case. I also have a recording of my initial consultation, including a lengthy conversation that went far off-topic and included statements that I found extremely concerning coming from an attorney. I am sharing my experience because I wish I had done more research before handing over my money. Do your homework before hiring this attorney. Ask questions. Get everything in writing. Pay attention to how communication is handled BEFORE you sign anything. Based on my personal experience, I would not hire Miles Stephen Cowan again, and I would not recommend him to anyone who expects consistent communication, professionalism, and reliable representation.

You’re better off with a court appointed!

Horrible! Unprofessional, unreliable, untrustworthy, unresponsive liar! This guy doesn’t communicate with you at all! He is inexperienced, distasteful and rude! He takes your money and disappears! He lies to you and your family! He gives false hope and violates every ethical code created! He doesn’t ...respond to calls or emails or texts! He doesn’t prepare for court l! He doesn’t even attempt to meet you before court! He had no knowledge of what was being presented until he got to court! He rather you sit in jail instead of asking for bond! He belittles his clients! All in all he might as well work for the prosecution because he puts up no fight! If you want a lawyer that cares, answers your questions and simply does his job do not I repeat do not hire him!

Great Lawyer Follow through 100%

He was able to navigate through all the negativity in my case and got me into a program that made sure it did not affect my life. He was also able to keep everything I told him confidential from the person who funded him...When I also felt hopeless and wanted to take my life he checked on me and... encouraged me to hold on and he will make sure we came out on top. Great with returning calls and affordable.
